the l975 predictions came in l968 in "life everlasting in freedom of the sons of god" (or something like that title). as i recall it was true red.

by refiners fire inyou know, there is nothing like the pleasure of looking on your bookshelf and seeing all those dub books in their hard bound covers and their pretty colours.
you can arrange them all kinds of ways, putting all the yellow ones together and the blue ones together .then you can put the green graded ones in the middle creating a flowing rainbow effect.
looks nice.

in the days when i was dating lst husband (bethelite) we often preached in new york city - some areas were so dangerous that jws would go four by four. these days i can't believe they would go to those places at all - drug infested, violent, etc.

this would be in the 60's when they were having a phase of dire warnings about the suitability of marriage partners.
during this phase, many odd ideas surfaced.

i too found your post interesting (sort of like being the fly on the wall) - thanks.
after 9ll i was seeking to rediscover my spiritual connection (after being out of wts for many many years). i contemplated going back to kh - at that time it was my only frame of reference. i knew that if i went back i would be shunned. i knew also that my husband would want to support me in whatever i decided to do. so i had this fantasy that if i went back and was shunned, that they would shun him too without knowing who he was or if he was a potential sheep. i kept thinking how wrong and unfair that would be and that it would be very hard for him to understand or accept. i truly wondered how they would handle it. your posting gave me the answer.
im so glad i did not go back.

My daughter ( JW) called me today!!!!!!!
by mouthy inevery one knows( regulars on board) that my jw daughter didnt speak to me for 10 years- the when my melanie was dying in 1999,she heard i was having back problems & having a hard time lifting my melanie...she told that person she would be willing to come & help if she had the money( she lives in montreal i live in ontario) so i called her bluff & sent the money for her fare.she stayed to help my daughter 10 days.
then when my daughter died -3 days after she left.
she spoke to me on the phone said she was sorry- ( all the time she was here religion was not discussed -when christians came to visit mell she would walk out)although she worked real hard while here.

im sorry i don't know your story better. i was sorry to read that you lost a daughter.
i was heartened, however, to read about your jw daughter calling you. you know, i can't help but feeling that her love for you shines through, even though she has all of these outside restraints on it. i sincerely hope that the joy of the occasion remains with both of you and is soon repeated.
