Thank you. Time heals wounds, but somethings (particular lotions, songs, pictures) still trigger sorrow. I often realized back then how, after one year, all I would have is the memories of the warmth of her hands.
My family had a reunion this past weekend. (Just for this year, not every year.) Sharing memories and eating lasagna. Some flowers and singing too, graveside. We're healing together.

My dad says that he has been getting interest from several widows. He told one of the more aggressive ones last summer, "X, we'll always be friends. But frankly, you and me just ain't a-gonna happen!" LOL Dad's not ready to rush into another relationship. Besides, my dad knows that any new wife would have to be compatible with 20+ other people. Whoever can do that will be very special. We know that dad's a good judge of character, though, so nobody's worried for him.
