  do you believe that having a good sex life will keep you younger and will make you healthier?

  What "RULES" Did YOU Want To BREAK?

  since the organization has so many rules, did you ever just want to break a rule, just to do it?

  one rule that i enjoyed breaking was the 15 to 20 minute rule that you were supposed to come to the meeting early.

  i was regularly tardy.

  That's very strange. Do you have any idea why? At any rate, one of the things that makes me sad is thinking about the number of marriages kids rushed into thinking it didn't really matter and now they could have SEX. 50 years later . . . .

  was reading an article about persons who had gotten revenge on someone who had hurt them (and not even in signficant ways).

  i am trying hard to remember when i personally have ever exaxcted even a modicum of revenge on even some apalling wounds that others inflicted on me.

  Many years ago, I fell afoul of a couple of people who, apparently, didn't think I had any allies or resources to protect myself. They put me through an extremely bad year--so bad that it took me several years to really get myself back. The only thing I did to set "revenge" in motion, was to make sure that the powers that were knew exactly what was going on. But you can imagine my sense that sometimes there is justice when one of my tormentors was told not to even bother going for tenure because she was never going to get it and the other lost his position as Dean that he desperately wanted and had to "return to teaching" (read couldn't get another position anywhere else). It didn't have to do with me; they were both toxic people and I was only one of many who they perceived to be in their way (I'm writing as if they weren't--just acting in concert against me at that point) and eventually they got their comeuppance. But I have to admit, it was lovely to see.

  june 20th marked a new beginning for me and yourschelbie.. we had a justice-of-the-peace wedding, with just a few family and friends on hand.

  the judge did a marvelous job of capturing the essence of the meaning of marriage in just a few minutes.

  (and we weren't reminded that serving a publishing company should be the #1 priority in life, lol.).

  i've been having a rough go financially lately and my job is less than rewarding.

  my hours have slowly been cut back over the last few months to the point where i've had to decide between food and bills.

  however, my sister's friend brought me a job ad.

  out of the blue, an elder from a distant congregation called wondering if i could make it to a kingdom all build/remodel!

  i was on the drywall team and not been to a build for about 2-3 years.i was at the time on my way out "da troof".

  maybe it is coincidence, but i notice we've only had reports on the saturday sessions of this year's dc.

  is that only because it is so much work to write these things up (i understand!

  Aha! I hadn't gone back far enough! Thanks. So it looks as if no "new light" at the convention, but a lot of softening the faithful up for some very hard to accept things soon. "Spiritual paradise?" That turns even *my* (non-JW) stomach. Did people sit quietly through that? Have you heard any concern or conversation from believers about that? Can any of them actually feel they are currently in "spiritual paradise?" My friend is hearing this today. I wonder if he'll still be my friend tonight.

  Is that an encampment in the background on the first poster? What sort of bones are being solicited? That one is really creepy. And that 3rd one certainly had to be by an illustrator who also did illustration for various "bible" publications!
