This makes my chest tight just to think about. I really am beginning to hate these people.

LANDMARK DECISION - Vicki Boer vs Watchtower Society
by Uzzah inas most are aware, vicki boer has been long awaiting a decision to be handed down in a case she started against the society in canada.. the decision was handed down today.
as with any 55 page decision, it will take some time for the legal experts to hash it over and decipher what was said.
but, in a nutshell..... vicki won.

What's the funniest gag / stunt you saw 'in service'?
by DFWnonJW injust curious here <eg>.
i've heard of plenty of teenagers knock-n-running but that's rather on the dull side.
so what's the funniest bit of slapschtick you've seen or heard of witnesess pulling while getting in the time quota?

Not a gag or a stunt, but kind of sweet and funny. San Francisco. First nice sunny day in a while. Elderly black lady sitting on a bench "witnessing" to people coming in and out of the Starbucks. Sun got to her. Gently nodded off with the AWAKE! magazing propped up in front of her.

"apostate" columnist
by kgfreeperson insylvester brown began his first column in the st. louis post-dispatch talking about his experience going door to door as a very young jw.
later in the column he indicated he is no longer a jw.
will jws be subjected to disfellowshipping if they admit to reading his column?

I thought just by publicly stating "I am no longer a Jehovah's Witness" (and referring to it as his mother's religion)he was disassociating himself even if he never previously did that formerly. No? Mickey Spillaine? Really?

I'm sorry--I meant to post the url but it is incredibly long. So if you'd like to see the article, go to http://www.stltoday.com/ and type Sylvester Brown into the search box and his column is the first link.

Well, first I want to say I can't figure out how to avoid saying "I'm sorry" that you live feeling obliged to apologize to the world for being alive. That is so painful. But I also want to say that you need to go stand over there by Big Tex so we can be more efficient in our encouragement of you two to write more, and to write thinking of publication. Your post captured so succinctly and with such power exactly where you are that it brought tears to my eyes.

Perhaps "did you just sit down and write that in one go, or did you edit and rewrite?" It's a compliment, I think, for your lovely essay.

To all the posters going to meetings, what will it take for you to leave ??
by run dont walk in.
i have noticed a lot of posters who are still going to meetings and assemblies.. my question is, since you are on this website regularly.
what will it take for you to leave the watchtower completely and not return to the meetings again ??

That would certainly explain the increasingly harsh policies about shunning, wouldn't it.
