Lunacy or apostasy?
by Separation of Powers inover the years i have heard some really strange beliefs shared openly with others in the congregation.
one sister, for example, stated that you could not be cremated because then "all your molecules will be spread around and jehovah couldn't put you back together.
" kinda sounds like she got stuck in a nursery rhyme there, a la humpty dumpty.. .

This is, strangely, one idea that my mom WANTS the WT to be wrong on... she just doesn't accept that "light"... she says that "one elder said that THAT part of the NT only applies to the anointed"... and I said to her, "well, how do you know WHICH parts apply to you and WHICH don't?"

What is happening in Mexico?
by ILoveTTATT ini have heard that a lot of the english congregations in mexico are shutting down... they are condensing 5 congregations into one, or in some areas even disbanding the only english congregation.
jw's who have been living in mexico for many years and probably were sheltered by being in the english congregations will now have to move to spanish congregations.... .

It makes sense... I think you hit the nail spot on! It's all about the money... I just hadn't seen it in that way before...
P.S. About the power: I wanted to punch a brother who said that the role of the English congregations was to "Teach" the Spanish congregations in Mexico "how things are properly done"... that guy was a... well let's just say I don't want to use a nice word...
