If You Could Write Articles For The Watchtower What Would The Titles Be?
by minimus inif you had the power to print millions of watchtowers & awakes and you could see to it that the articles that you wrote got to all the readers, give a sampling of what the articles highlighting "spiritual food" would say.

Sorry that I am a bit grumpy :(
by caspian ini took a specialised law exam yesterday, and i should really have been revising hard this past month, but because of what happened with my dad, i didn't.
even though i won't get the results till next week i know that i have failed , and the company that i work have never had anyone fail this exam before.
so i am a bit cheesed off.

JW Admits She Doesn't Want To Think!
by minimus inone of my wife's best friends talked to her yesterday about "the truth".
she wanted to know if they could get together to "talk".
after some conversation, my wife asked her if she thought all the "prophecies" in the isaiah book seemed reasonable.

They always give the same answer when questioned about this..."Where else would we go?", "Who else has the truth?"
There is, obviously, a fundamental logical flaw here. Just because the Org seems to offer the best deal (eternal life on paradise earth, etc.) they MUST be the truth. Therefore, anything the FDS says MUST be the truth. Typical cult-like circular logic. Pathetic.

Okay, I'm in.
Many of you know my story, but for those of you who don't: My JW husband recently left me on the basis of "spiritual endangerment". Let me reiterate that I never even once kept him from attending a meeting, assembly, convention, or going out in field service. Yet, he seems to have the absolute support of the elders in his congregation, as well as the support of his JW parents. They are basing the "endangerment" theory on the fact that I would not allow him to talk about "THE TRUTH" with my children from a previous marriage who are 14 and 11.
This is a typical good old boy network. I have read here so many times of women who are required to endure physical abuse and stay with their husbands. Yet, when one of the BROTHERS has an unbelieving wife, the tables are turned. Maybe this is just a unique situation in a single congregation, but I just can't believe that. In fact, his own daughters (JW's - one a regular pioneer) are supporting ME emotionally through all this. In spite of all that, his elders and parents are behind him 100%.
What gives?

My soon-to-be-ex-husband has two wonderful girls, 21 and 17. The 17-year-old lived with us when she was 14/15, but then moved back to Texas to be with her Mom and sister. She never gave me a moment's problem. Now that my husband left, the girls are so completely supportive of me (strange considering they are JW's and I am, of course, a "worldlygirl".) They won't even return his phone calls, but they talk to me almost every day. It's really hard for me not to say anything negative about him to them... although it isn't really necessary... they already know what a b@stard he is. I still sign all my cards and e-mails to them "Your Wicked Stepmother" just for laughs!
Good luck, especially if you are the "custodial step-mother". Always be respectful of their Mom's position in their life. It will make things easier for everyone. By the way, their Mom, his ex-wife, has also been very supportive of me since the split! She has always appreciated that I never tried to take her place with either of the girls.
Best Wishes,
