  Is it "OK" to take pictures at the Kingdom Hall?

  a long time ago, when i was just starting in the "troof", i brought my camera to the hall, and i was taking pictures of just about anything there.

  i love taking pictures, so i wanted a few pictures of sexy sisters of my fellow witnesses and a few pictures of the hall to show my family.. but, i had the impression that it wasn't ok to do that.

  i felt as if being new to the org, that they tolerated it so i never did that again.. i know that in certain places, like government buildings or military installations, you're not allowed to take pictures.

  I was asked to take pictures from all the members and to print them on three A4. One of the younger brothers went to Sweden (kind of Bethelite school) and sinse he never was from home before, he had all of the members of his community to look at.......

  Ofcourse everyone got a normal size picture from me - so they were all willing to pose for me.....

  lots of them are df-ed or da-ed today

  so today i'm at the assembly at my daughter's school.

  i'm a pta geek so i know all the teachers pretty well.

  one of them comes and whispers "i have a j-dub kid in my class, i could use some tips as to how i can help her out".

  Mum has extended the olive branch...

  hi all my friends, i've been absent from posting for a few months.

  snowed in with uni work, and just generally choosing to lie low.

  but, i thought it was time to come out of hybernation to give you what i believe is some pretty good news with respects to the relationship that exists (or rather hasn't existed for a few years) with my jw mum.. a couple of years ago mum texted me to tell me that she received my letter to family in march just gone, but wasn't sure how to respond to it.

  What happened to the old Pro-JW forums, and when did they disappear?

  i just did a search on google for pro-jw forums, there doesn't seem to be any.. i remember the old days, back in the 90's.... you had:.

  www.witnesses.net - closed around 2000. www.jwzone.org - closed around 2001 - are they still active but under a different name?.

  anyone remember any others?.

  I am not "googling" but I thought that this forum was pro-JW when started - and since changed.

  Why aren't congregations much bigger in size?

  like that, they wouldn't need so many elders and ms. they would have plenty of brothers to read and pass the mic.. no where in the bible do they mention how big or small a congregation should be.

  if ever one day they have a hard time forming enough ms and elders, wouldn't it be simpler to just make congregations larger?

  I guess that it's because they want maximum control, and that's why they make the groups as small as they can....
