by forsharry innot sure why i'm writing this really.
i'm a grown woman and should be able to deal with these things in a more constructive way.
and yet here i am... my job is doing a contest...bring in your prom photo and the neatest one will win a really cool prize (it's a weekly celebration for back-to-school around here - i'm in the newspaper business.

That is one of those things you can never go back and redo unfortunately. It sucks. I was so jealous of some of the other kids getting to do those things because their parents weren't STRONG in the truth like mine were. Hang in there. Pretend to have school spirit. Wear your high school colors and buy little pom poms or something and fake it. No one will ever know. I hope you can find a good assembly pic. At least yours will stand out. (((((((HUGS))))))

She Said It Again...
by saywhat29 inshe said that if i went out in that world and lived "like that" then she would never see me again.
instead, mine are of what is fantasy and what is reality.
reality is becoming more... "real".

Sorry to hear the line has been drawn in the sand. It really hurts when that realization happens. I never really thought my dad would shun me. I was SOOOO WRONG!! I will keep you in my thoughts. Your therapist is right. You have to live the way YOU want to live. If you live for anyone you cheat yourself and end up unhappy. The saddness will dissipate in to a happy new life.

I can completely relate with those feelings. They will never completely dissipate but they will get less frequent. I suggest you see a therapist to work through these feelings. It helps to have an unbiased opinion. Psychologists will not prescribe drugs, which is why I chose them. Psychiatrists will prescribe drugs, if that is the route you want to take.
HANG IN THERE!!! (((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))

At the hall last night
by Shawn10538 ini went to the hall last night to get an insight book and a concordance.
i had set it up with an elder ahead of time to get them.
i arrived after the meeting had ended, walked up to the counter anxious to leave as quickly as i came when a big brother came up to me, planted his body in between me and the literature servant and started giving me the third degree about who i am, what is my standing in the congregation, and what did i want the books for.

Makes you want to spit!
by Gill ini aught not to laugh about this.....but it's one of those situations where you either laugh or cry!.
we found out that my husband's sister was df'd a few months ago.
we attempted to contact her but she will not speak to us and is still shunning us as apparantly we are 'spiritually weak' and she is attempting to be reinstated into the congregation.

I tried to talk to them about it and their reasoning just keeps going in circles not proving anything and then when you show them their circular reasoning they just start yelling. I gave up. Yes I do want to shake some sense into them. I mean, how could they produce such an intelligent child and be so stupid themselves???

Bad Dream
by PoppyR in4am in the uk, and i was jolted awake by a dream about my mother dying, she is not in good health.
i felt overwhelmingly sad that if this happens, she will die in sadness over me.
and also very upset because she is my mum and i want her to love me and be interested in my life and that just isn't the case any longer.. i realise i am 'luckier' than some on here because at least she speaks to me.

Aww Poppy. Nightmares like that are just evil. It makes you experience the loss that hasn't actually happened yet, and can scare you to death. I hope you were able to get some rest after that. I have discovered tylenol PM can work wonders for sleep as can a glass of wine.
(((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) to you. You are not alone!!!

My "Moonie" experience the other day.
by Junction-Guy inok, this is a short experience that happened to me the other day.. .
i went to eat at a local chinese buffet.
i was sitting there eating my food, when a young chinese woman approaches my table carrying a metal briefcase, it looked like it was homemade and had pics of flowers on it.
