See the light has brightened, that is why the younger ones are annointed. Jesus's presence or parosia in 1914 was only the beginning of those who see these things occur, so anybody who sees the world deteriorating since 1914 can be annointed now. Technically, at 26, I could be, because I have witnessed Jesus's presence, the new light means, I didn't have to be around in 1914 just see the effects of it. Hope that answers your question.

a reorganization in the leadership???HMMMMM....
by plmkrzy ininquiring minds want to know
i am sure this has been covered before, but it happens to be a subject that really sticks in my craw for some reason.. behold below is a list of "leaders" i copied from gerards (sorry if i misspelled it) thread about "who is the new pres of the wt".
the ones i picked out , correct me if i am wrong, are not old enough to be part of the "faithful and descreet slave class".

Disfellowshiping for Dummies
by Rainmakerone inwould love to hear about some seriously botched disfellowshiping cases.
u know the ones that could have been handled better by a trio of rhesus monkeys.
like when my auntie had an affair with a circuit overseer and they told her " no matter what u say, no matter how repentant u are, u are definately going down for this!!!!

I know of several cases, a girl got pregnant, she was sincerely repentant, but because she was going to show they disfellowshipped her anyways. This happened to 3 of my friends. Two of them were reinstated. One, decided this religion wasn't for her because the elders actually told her that her baby was not a gift from god since it had been conceived out of wedlock.

JW Disfellowshipping Is a SIN Against God!
by minimus inone of the signs of the "last days" is that there would be "no natural affection" shown.
people would be "self-assuming, haughty, disloyal, without love of goodness, headstrong, puffed up with pride, having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power,(and from these turn away).
"......does this not describe jehovah's witnesses today???

SOJ: In answer to your scripture. Next time you see a parent walk off from his 5 year old when the 5 year old walks out of a store with a candy bar, let me know. How would you view that parent if he/she acted like they never knew their child? Hang their head in shame every time they saw that child? That isn't loving discipline.

Friends of the other sex in the JW's
by JH inhow is it seen if a single adult brother sits right next to a single adult sister at the kingdom hall?
rumours get going, right?
one thing i never liked in the jw's was that you just couldn't be good friends with people of the other sex.

I never understood that sitting beside each other thing. If you were dating somebody, it was ok to sit next to them at your home, with a chaperon of course, or next to them at the movies or a restaurant, again with chaperons, but you couldn't sit with them in the house of god? WHATEVER!!! Like if you sat beside a single member of the opposite sex at a meeting, you were just gonna jump their bones right there? Give me a break.

Annoying Family Members
by sandy ini get so tired of my family telling me to 'come back to the meetings" or "do you want to go to the meeting on sunday?".
i should not complain i know.
i do not have the guts to just say to them: "i am never going back.".

My parents do the same thing, and then give me a guilt trip when I say no because they want to spend time with me. Apparently they are not capable of spending time with me in any other arena than field service. I don't know what anyone will ever say to those convinced of the truth to leave you alone. I just keep telling myself they mean well and have my interest at heart, no matter how screwed up it is.

IQ and JWs
by Freedomrules indo you think there is any correlation between intelligence and membership?
most jws i've known aren't that bright, and it seems that most that leave are really intelligent.. just an observation.
any thoughts?.

To some degree, but I know a few who were studying to be doctors and lawyers or who are and are still very active. Admitedly that is a very few.
I also know some really stupid people that left. Although they were usually kicked out for getting pregnant at age 15 or getting somebody pregnant at age 15, so I guess they weren't leaving of their own accord.

Sister Life Long Pioneer: The one pioneer that thinks she is better than everyone else because she can put in 90 hours of field service time, drive a school bus part time, highlight all her answers in corresponding colors and still raise her easily influenced, not so intelligent children who all end up leaving because they get pregnant at 16. But she is still better than all of us cause she still gets in 90 hours of field service.
Brother Psycho: The one beedy eyed brother who looks around at all the sisters during the meeting and when they catch him looking it makes the sister feel so uncomfortable they want to climb underneath a chair.
Sister Psycho: The one in the back who is always smiling and always makes weird comments that are off topic and in some cases dances to the songs when they are being sung.
Don't you always wish Brother Psycho and Sister Psycho would hook up because they are usually single and would just go so well together.

What I Don't Miss at a District Convention
by simplesally inname the things you don't miss about going to a dc!
---getting there so early and then find that the "servants" have saved all the good seats
---not having time to make a decent lunch and getting admonished about not buying from nearby vendors.

The convention centers had the tiniest, steepest steps. I would get super nervous going up and down them and rightly so, I fell several times.
The uncomfortable seats, it is sad when sitting on your song book with a bible behind your back feels better than the chair.
My feet hurting from walking on those hard floors.
Having to do bathroom cleaning duty.
Wasting a vacation day on something that tires me out more than work.
