http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/solarsystem/europa_life_020208.html .
here's a cool article from space.com for some evolution discussion.
i'm no expert, but it's an interesting read anyway.
I know Achristian. My father isn't very selective in his scientific reading, though. I'll send him this, and he'll read up on it for weeks.
I just think it's really cool to have even the possibility of life on Mars, (which there may be), on Europa, etc. I love it. It's like the ultimate fantasy novel for me. Beauty and wonder beyond imagination. It would really be something to travel between planets someday.

they were discussing sodom and gomorah and how if jah had found a few righteous men in that city, both cities would be spared.
not a one was found.
however, they mention jah protected lot and his daughters, as they were faithful and living nearby.
All of those "women who screwed relatives and were deemed righteous" stories are totally twisted. Which is why, slowly, I'm becoming an athiest. A God who would kill you for smoking, but blesses for incest. ?????????????????????????????????

ok here goes - after 15 years of unimaginable shit (wait, you guys can imagine!
) and a tearful phone conversation tonight with my mother & father, my father is willing to sit & discuss jehovah's witnesses with me (he actually sounds open).
i left the borg when i was 17. my father is an elder.
Celia was right about asking him to just react to your feeling without scriptural context. Perhap you can just say, 'Can we just talk about people for once.'
I'm sure he'd admit there's a lot of asses who are JW's, appointed men, men who are supposed to be gently sheparding the flock. Ask him what he thinks of it. Just don't get your hopes up. It's always an uphill battle.
Don't be sad if he's angry at you, or calls you names. They get like that. Just try not to be confrontational or emotional.
But, rather than spending a whole day on it, why not just take an hour to talk religion, and then take him to dinner, spend time with him, etc.
Soften his JW hardness, be his friend, and he will listen more readily. Least, that's what I do. I've gotten very involved in my JW parents life since I left home, and now almost all of them are leaving the 'troof'.
But, it WAS AN UPHILL BATTLE the whole way. Good luck. Sorry I was so pessimistic at first. You can reach people, it's just really hard.

Dude, that sucks, have you contacted Feds yet. There's a fraud reporting system, methinks. Talked to your bank about it?
Hope you have a better one.....

how can you go back to celebrating the holidays after you leave the organization.
don't you still feel that they are pagan?
Almost everything can be traced to 'technically' pagan orgins. It's hoey. There's a books of the Origin of common things, it's great. Makes you see, that with a little research, you can find a 'pagan' history behind everything.

the moody bible instititute wrote the watchtower society asking for a debate on the radio.
brooklyn sent them a list of 33 questions and stated that if they could not answer them, there was no use in debating.
23. was one penalty passed against his soul and another against his body?.
Two words that I was thinking of when I read some of the quesitons is:
Ambiguity.......Semantics.
