So last night was my weekly Bible study with my wife my friend/elder and his wife. Well like many still asleep the first thing that we talked about was what intrested us about the AGM..so the elder goes into the things like how exciting it is and loves all the added crap in the appendixes and the info in the front beause its straight from Gods word. I thought "didnt someone say you shouldnt add anything or take anything away? Surely adding reason books and appendices on questionabke doctrine (at best) would fall under the category. Ok fine. But then he goes into Spla es talk about translation. And mentions about the part when David Splane said that the world may not like that we have a Bible, those same worldly people are not translators just because they can read greek or know some greek or hebrew or aramaic. And he mentioned the part he appreciated most was Splane then said "but those translators are NOTamong the anointed of Jehovah God" (paraphrasing of course). And the elder said "i thought, 'GOOD FOR YOU'. What a way to respong to those who criticize ALL the hard work these brothers do everyday. And the. Of course he went into bethel and said we needed to visit there because when we did we would have no doubts that this organization belongs to Jehovah because of how efficient it is run and there are guys who used to be plumbers running biiiiig printing presses. I thought "hmmm David Hassan mentioned something about going to visit a place and came back a different himan being".
despit being taken aback i just kept a calm demeanor. Sheesh.

Comprehensive NWT Comparison Project (calling all technically skilled members)
by Apognophos inis anyone aware if this project is already being done by someone?
if not, perhaps we can brainstorm how to go about this, now that the pdf for the revised nwt is out.

All you need to do is use the interlinear on the JW app haha and most truth comes out. And you can compare the old reference bible to the Revised NWT

The relationship between the Father and Son. What's your opinion?
by DATA-DOG ini am curious about this.
ever since i realized that there is no proof that jesus=michael the archangel, i wondered about who jesus was.
that's how i think of the father and the son, or the word.

How about this..
WHO IS JESUS?

- Jehovah is our sanctifier. (Exodus 31:13) Jesus sanctifies us. (Hebrews 10:10)
- Jehovah is our peace. (Judges 6:23) Jesus is our peace. (Ephesians 2:14)

- Jehovah is our healer. (Exodus 15:26) Jesus heals us. (Acts 9:34)
- Jehovah God dwells in us. (2 Corinthians 6:16) Jesus is in us (Romans 8:10). 7.
- Jehovah is the giver of life who will not allow His people to be “snatched” out of His hand. (Deuteronomy 32:39) Jesus is the giver of life who will not allow His people to be “snatched” out of His hand. (John 10:28)
- Jehovah’s voice is “like the roar of rushing waters.” (Ezekiel 43:2) Jesus’ “voice was like the sound of rushing waters.” (Revelation 1:15)

- Jehovah’s nature does not change. (Malachi 3:6) Jesus’ nature does not change. (Hebrews 13:8)
- Jehovah is the only God we are to “serve.” (2 Kings 17:35) Jesus is to be served. (Col. 3:24)
- Jehovah is the only God to be “worshipped.” (Exodus 34:14) Jesus receives the same honor and “worship” that the Father receives. (John 5:23; Revelation 5:11-14 compare with Revelation 4:10-11) 8. No angel can receive “worship.” (Revelation 22:8-9)
- Jehovah the Lord is to be set apart as holy. (Isaiah 8:12b-13) Jesus as Jehovah is to be set apart as holy. (1 Peter 3:14b-15a)
- Jehovah’s glory is not to be given to another. (Isaiah 42:8) Jesus shares Jehovah’s glory. (John. 17:5)
- God’s name is Jehovah (or Yahweh–YHWH). (Isaiah 42:8) Jesus has Jehovah’s name. (John 17:11; John 16:14-15)
- Jehovah is the only God to be mentioned in prayer. (Exodus 23:13) Christians are to pray to Jesus. (John 14:14)

How about this:
Reference Bible 14If YOU ask anything in my name, I will do it.
Kingdom Interlinear 14ἐάν if ever τιanything αἰτήσητέ YOU should ask μεmein τῷthe ὀνόματίname μουof me τοῦτοthis ποιήσω.I shall do.
Byington 14If you ask me anything in my name I will do it.
American Standard Version 14If ye shall ask anything in my name, that will I dothis is an obvious reference that anything we ask Jesus HE will do it. Of course that doesnt fit the doctrine does it? Hmmm
Or how about this: rev NWT says in col 1:16 because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All other things have been created through him
INTERLINEAR: 16ὅτιbecause ἐνin αὐτῷhim ἐκτίσθηit was created τὰthe πάνταall (things) ἐνin τοῖςthe οὐρανοῖςheavens καὶand ἐπὶupon τῆςthe γῆς,earth, τὰthe (things) ὁρατὰvisible καὶand τὰthe (things) ἀόρατα,invisible, εἴτεwhether θρόνοιthrones εἴτεor κυριότητεςlordships εἴτεor ἀρχαὶgovernments εἴτεor ἐξουσίαι·authorities; τὰthe πάνταall (things) δι’through αὐτοῦhim καὶand εἰςinto αὐτὸνhim ἔκτισται·it has been created;
sorry its confusing the way it pastes here but as you can seethe word "other" does not apear. Now there are greek words to represent "other"..thegreek word is "al'los". that word is not found in this scripture...AND the rev NWT has ridden itself of "other" altogether in John 1:3-5 or wh tever...blatant addition to change thr text.

Paul belived paradise was heaven
by DS211 innow i want all to add whatever they want to.
i was just reading the bible reading for tonights meeting and started 2 cor 12...and what i noticed was that paul here is revealing something, a revelation or vision of sorts, here it says (and its from the nwt for lurkers).

That combined with the fact that paradise earth is mentioned nowhere in the scriptures. earthly paradise would be all fleshly and materialistic stuff....not spiritual.

Sometiing interesting from John 1 in rev. NWT
by DS211 inso i think theres quite a bit to take from the agm.
there are many things of interest and no doubt removing mark 16:9-20 and john 5:58-8:11 is going to get serious criticism.
but i noticed in john 1:3 that jesus now created all things.

DS211
ah crap yea sorry i meant 7 hahaha good correction!

But i noticed in John 1:3 That Jesus now created all things. No more brackets. hmm im slowly starting to wonder what "new light" will surface from this revised version, specifically in 2014 when the WT starts to quote from it. im going to do some "personal study" haha of the scriptures about the spirit, and go through all the doctrines and hopefully find some more stuff. Well thats what i got out of this weeks annual meeting information, what did you friends get out of it? Haha
