Bible Reading Rev 7--umm hello?

i got bored at the meeting and read the bible reading and could not believe some of the false prophetic garbage being commented....anyways heres what i fiund interesting ;-).

7 after this i saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding tight the four winds of the earth, so that no wind could blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree.

2 and i saw another angel ascending from the sunrise, having a seal of the living god; and he called with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, 3 saying: do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until after we have sealed the slaves of our god in their foreheads.

this week in the brochure for the "bible reading" it states on subject 24. that jehovahs witnesses wrote a century ago that jehovahs bacjs us and we do t take donations "and we never have!!!!

".....please someone post the information to prove this as a lie as we all know they used to charge for literature.

this is an outright lie lol ridiculous..

How Is Our Worldwide Work FinancedTABLE OF CONTENT

Our organization publishes and distributes hundreds of miOllions of Bibles and other publications every year without charge. We build and maintain Kingdom Halls and branch offices. We support thousands of Bethelites and missionaries, and we provide relief aid in times of disaster. So you may wonder, ‘How is all of this financed?’

We do not tithe, charge dues, or take up collections. Although the costs of supporting our evangelizing work are high, we do not solicit money. Over a century ago, the second issue of theWatchtower magazine stated that we believe we have Jehovah as our backer and that we “will never beg nor petition men for support”—and we never have!—Matthew 10:8.

Our activities are supported by voluntary donations. Many people appreciate our Bible educational work and donate toward it. The Witnesses themselves happily contribute their time, energy, funds, and other resources to the doing of God’s will in all the earth. (1 Chronicles 29:9) At the Kingdom Hall, there are contribution boxes where those who wish to make donations may do so. For the most part, the moneys received come from those of modest means, much like the poor widow Jesus spoke so well of who put two small coins into the temple treasury chest. (Luke 21:1-4) Thus anyone can regularly “set something aside” to give “just as he has resolved in his heart.”—1 Corinthians 16:2; 2 Corinthians 9:7.

We are convinced that Jehovah will continue to move the hearts of those who want to ‘honor him with their valuable things’ in support of the Kingdom work, so that his will may be accomplished.—Proverbs 3:9.

Donations for Local Congregation Expenses are used to care for expenses incurred by the congregation and to return money that the branch office gave it to assist in building or renovating the Kingdom Hall. Donations for the Worldwide Work are sent to the branch office to care for its expenses, and any surplus is used to care for needs in oth

i am reading "teach your child how to think" by edward de bono.

right now im learning about attributes of a good thinker.

throughout oart 1 of the book it states that critical thinking and just learning information is not enough.

Ok next- Forward thinking and Parallel thinking

on page 109 (for kids down to age 4) it gives these two examples

1. Forward thnking-if we are at point A we move forward to point B, then to C.

example: "It is obvious 5+3=8."

2. Parallel thinking- we have point A then B then C in parallel. they are not determined by each other. They exist in parallel. We can look around and find them.

example: "the answer 8 could have been the result of 5+3. But it could also have been the result of 4+4, 7+1 and 6+2."

bith types of thinking are important. But in WT world more forward thinking than parallel is used.

Can you think of some examples?

Lol the locusts were to harm and torment those not sealed...i guess we as the great crowd torment them with door to door servic, interrupting them and telling them to join us? Absolute rubbish.

Nowwhat?--it is orwellian 1984meets animal farm--its simple

freedom through slavery.

they give the illusion of freedom, transparency--but behind the curtain they control all things--thoughts, emotions, INFORMATION, behaviour, relationships...basically all aspects of ones life. They give the illusion of free will by telling followers to have their bible student make up their own mind...but the trick comes after baptism. Once you dedicate the game changes, youve given up your freedom.
