my friend and my sister has betrayed me in my confidence to ask them on issues i have with the org.
i admitted that i dont think what the org is telling is all truth.
so the elders came and whipped me but i would not bow down to them, my freedom is at stake and i will not be a robot.
Mole, I also think that the elders will df you for your comments. Have they held a jc with you yet? There was a good thread on here about taking recording devices into a jc, that the elders will not proceed with the jc with the recording equipment going and therefore cannot df you. And somebody also had the idea of taking a lawyer to the jc with you. It will scare the elders senseless. Hope it works out for you.
when i was a kid in the early 1970's, i remember assemblies being longer thatn they are now, but because i was little, i do'nt remember.
also, i've heard in the 50's & 60's they were even longer.
how long were they?

i realise that when i went to meetings it was done by some people but was frowned on but now here it is on page 21 "our publications need not be quoted verbatim.
jehovahs witnesses do not simply repeat what their publications say.
but in fact want to know if you are thinking the right thoughts.
You can learn a lot about someone by listening to the way they describe something. Is this going to be another way for them to check up on you? If I ever go back to a watchtower study instead of using my own words in the answer I'd prefer to use blondies. I wonder if they'd pick my hand again after the first answer......
i have done load of washing, cleaning, getting school uniform ready - (and all that goes with that) this sunday morning.

i remember being so tired after sunday activities: make sandwiches for fs, get kids ready, get to kh.
I got sent back from work this morning(They gave me another weeks holiday and forgot to tell me!), and thought about going to the meeting to 'discuss' some matters with the elders that have been bothering me. I ended up just going back to bed instead.
it's been a festive weekend for us.
we're down in canberra right now at the home of mr and mrs bliss.. the freedomfest went great and right now mrs bliss is "in a huddle" with a fomerly zealous sister bringing her up to speed on judicial procedures.
mrs ozzie's reading and we're just enjoying this cosy home.. but we mustn't forget the poll!

On the Sunday afternoon there was a huge pile of things left over, and everybody was like scavangers. I've never seen so many elders move so fast to grab things. I made a quick move and ended up with the job of replastering and tiling my friends bathroom. All the money was meant to be put into the contribution box, but of course no check could be made on this. Oh yeah, I got offered one of the marques too. I wish I'd taken it now, it would have been great for an apostafest!

I can remember 4 day assemblies in the 80s. They used to have one of the afternoons set asid for people to go on the ministry if they wanted to get more time in. We always used to leave the sessions with those going on the ministry, then go and visit relatives who lived near the convention. I don't know if there was still talks on for everyone else that afternoon or not. Probably counsel on why they weren't out in the ministry and they should do more!!!
It seems that we used to have intermissions of about 15 min. on sundays between the talk & the watchtower study.
We used to go my grandparents caravan in the scottish borders every school holidays and attended the Berwick-upon-Tweed congregation who still done this in the 80s too.
it will be difficult, very very.
