Farewell cruel world of JWs
by sparrowdown inimo the most exciting thing you will ever do in "the truth" is to leave !.
that's right, no website or rc nu-lite or service meeting letter compares.
to the adrenaline rush of waking up, planning your strategic withdrawal,.

Here's a simple three-step fade: Stop attending. Stop answering the phone and the door. Forget about the JWS and live your life as you see fit.

Bible Students: In reality they are just spouting a different slant on the same old worn-out Bible nonsense. Just because Pastor Russell said something doesn't make it true. If you want to take another dip in the Pool of Magical Thinking, go right ahead and connect with the Bible Students. But, really now.....it's 2014....isn't it about time to live your life in the present instead of relying on a 2000+ year old book to tell you what to think and believe? Come up to Present Time and make the most of the only life you will ever have.

Just like everything else in the JW religion, being 'annointed' is all a made-up fairy tale rooted in Magical Thinking. Basically the same applies to Christianity as well. Ultimately, the folks who claim to be 'anointed' are self-important ego-maniacs who think they are somehow above regular JWs. They think they will go to 'heaven' when they die and from there will lord it over the lesser beings on Earth. Too bad it's all total rubbish. The best response when a JW announces that they are 'anointed' is to just start laughing hysterically.

She sounds like yet another sad case of arrested development caused by Watchtower bullying and brainwashing. It never seems to occur to JWs to LOVE rather than CONDEMN and BLAME.

So I'm going through a really difficult time right now.
by scaredtospeak ini was publicly reproved last year and the elders have taken their sweet time in reinstating my "privileges".
it's been six months and i can't answer at the meetings or participate in the theocratic ministry school.
in all honesty- i don't care about the privileges.

Sorry to hear about your difficulties. Just a suggestion: When the Elder's ask you prying questions about personal matters or try to coax you into 'doing more', etc, try saying this: 'Thank you for your concern. But I am doing the best I can and, by relying on Jehovah's help and guidance, will continue to do so. If I need any other help I will definitely let you know'. Saying something like that might get them to at least back off a bit. If they pressure you further, just continue telling them essentially the same thing. DO NOT get drawn into detailed discussions of your supposed short-comings. Keep an upbeat attitude and tell them their concern has lifted your spirits. Then end the discussion. Best of luck in the future. Hang in there!!

If Extraterrestrials are found existing, will people abandon the Bible?
by Kalos ini have heard people say: if space exploration proves extraterrestrials do exist, that would be the end of the bible (which teaches earth is the only place there is life).. i feel this will not happen, because already science proved certain views reflected in the bible are wrong:.
1) joshua stopped the sun to win the war (joshua 10:3).
2) satanthinking earth is flattook jesus to the top of the mountain so that all kingdoms of the earth could be visible to the eyes (to person like jesus, just saying is enoughwhy need a vision of all kingdoms of the earth.

I highly doubt that intelligent life, if found on other planets, will be anything like human beings. Aliens might turn out to be super-intelligent insect-like creatures, or reptilian beings. Their intelligence will be totally unlike ours....I doubt we could even successfully communicate with them. So they will have no interest in our silly religions. They might have explanations about the origin of the Universe that far exceed ours. So I doubt the discovery of alien beings will change many people's minds when it comes to Jesus and Christianity. And our religious belief systems won't be interesting in the least to intelligent aliens.

Has anyone else heard this about the GB??
by FeelingFree inok so me and my husband were talking to his mum again about why we are no longer going to meetings and got into another pointless discussion where she feels he needs to talk to an elder about his issue's blah, blah, blah... round and round it went...... the thing i wanted to ask was if anybody had heard that there wont be any gb after these one's die??
this is something she mentioned today and we have never heard of this ever.
so it means no more will be appointed and they will just die off!

I put this idiotic rumor in the same category as 'This year might be the last time we celebrate the Memorial'. JWs are so gullible, as evidenced by their tendency to buy into rumors like this one.

Strange situation
by Gorbatchov inhi folks,.
the rank and file is now in a strange situation.. it is clear that the jw leadership is in for a huge change.
the type / anti type change makes clear that they make a u-turn.. it's clear that with this changes the current doctrine are temporary.

Another cult, the Worldwide Church of God originally had some hard-core irrational doctrines that were promulgated by their leader Herbert W. Armstrong. In the late 80s after Armstrong died, the new leaders decided to radically 'update' that religion. They did away with many long-held beliefs and adopted a more moderate mainstream Christian message. As a result, a large portion of the membership rejected these changes and broke away to form smaller groups that adhered to the old ways. Today the Worldwide Church of God has sold most of it's properties from it's heyday and is a shadow of it's former self. I wonder if something similar will happen to the JW religion if the GB continues to make radical changes too rapidly. It will be most interesting to see how things change in the next few years. Of course, all changes will be justified as being 'New Light' and 'keeping up with Jehovah's chariot'. The brainwashed followers will swallow it all hook, line and sinker.

A Nice Story.
by Wrath of Jehu infriends.. i'm sure you will all be encouraged by this nice story related to me by a brother in my old congregation.
4 year old "jana" (not her real name), is from a witness family in a middle sized city.
she has faced many challenges in her pre-school class.

I certainly hope that one of 'Jana's' classmates managed to sneak her a big piece of birthday cake after the classroom celebration was over. I also hope 'Jana' rejects the JWs when she is older and tells her pathetic brainwashed parents to piss off before leaving home for good.
