Poor old things like her are to be pitied. They are so brainwashed that their rational thought processes have long departed. At this point there is no 'waking up' those types. Best to just humor them and give them a nice cup of tea to calm them down.

I have come to the conclusion that there is no God. Period!!! If there was a loving, righteous, all-knowing, all powerful God up there somewhere, where is he and what good is he??? We have today's school shootings in Washington state, terrorist acts worldwide killing innocent people, famines, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, AIDS, Ebola, 9-11, the Kennedy and MLK assassinations, etc.etc. The sum total of all 'help' received from 'God': ZERO!!!!! Nothing at all!!! How long will we buy the answer that 'Satan' is causing these bad events to occur??? What?....God gives Satan a free pass while countless numbers of 'God's Children' suffer with absolutely NO intervention from him??? Sorry, it just makes no sense at all. No help from God has ever come or will ever come. So my conclusion is that there is no 'God' up in Heaven looking down 'lovingly' on us. Of course all this is just MY conclusion, you are welcome to your own views. But, the next time there is a tragedy in which innocent lives are senselessly snuffed out, as yourself this simple question: 'Where was God???' The answer will be the same as always: He doesn't exist!!!

Two things that have really made me think.
by thedog1 injust got to say that two things i have found out on this forum have really made me think over the last year.
one is how the gb say that they were appointed in 1919 and how they always say that it was a small group of anointed ones, and they always stress that it was a collective group who did this.
but from this forum i have found out that really it was all judge rutherford's doing, that he was the sole kingpin at that time until his death in 1942, so no 'collective' slave.

Yes, Rutherford was a first-rate A-hole who was about as 'spiritual' as a sea snake. But let's face it, virtually EVERYONE connected with the Witnesses, including Russell, was and is a total nutcase. A person just CANNOT be mentally normal and still believe all the nonsense they preach. Witnesses believe that 'their' God is going to slaughter billions of humans including innocent babies, and they rejoice at the prospect. What type of monsters think like that??? So let's call JWs what they really are: EVIL PEOPLE!!! Let's just start telling it like it is.

Jehovah's Witnesses are the only people who don't practice war and who preach worldwide!
by EndofMysteries inthis is what somebody has been telling me, trying to convince me aside from anything one can say or cause reason for doubt, as the evidence that they are the true religion and true people of god.
they are convinced because while 'all other' christian and other religions support war, troops, etc, jw's don't and they are the only one's who carry god's name and preach.
nothing else matters.

That's one of many things that pisses me off about JWs. NOTHING they say is the result of critical thinking or individual thought. Everything is a pre-fabricated phrase dictated by the Watchtower. And drone-like JWs parrot these phrases instead of thinking for themselves. My answer to these thought-stopping platitudes is: 'OK, Tell me JUST ONE THING where you disagree with the Watchtower's position on an issue.' They will not answer because they are programmed to NEVER disagree with the Watchtower Party Line. Under penalty of getting DFed. Try asking this the next time a JW gives you a line of BS. It will be fun to watch their deer-in-the-headlights reaction.

baby or no baby?
by Dudu inthat is the question for the next months ... i am 32 and i will turn 33 on december....i am freaking out!!!
my hubby and i have no children and we are not looking for one right now because im studying a masters.
i will finish subjects in june and after that i will write my thesis (6 more months).
-
NAVYTOWN
I'm a guy but my advice would be to finish your masters first, then think about having a baby. Your mid-30s is not too old to start a family. Just be very realistic in considering the time and emotional commitment having an infant requires. Whatever you decide, best wishes!!

Will They Continue To Take Your Money After Booting You Out?
by steve2 inautomatic bank payments & being disfellowshipped.
as noted on this site, the organization has in place numerous electronic provisions for people to donate money, ranging from one-off payments through to monthly automatic payments from donors' bank accounts into the organization's.. this is all well and good - and consistent with what lots of organizations - religious or otherwise - do.. but, should a donor be disfellowshipped - or disassociated - is the pre-selected donation provision stopped by the organization itself?
do they have any policy at all on it?

The best bet for JWs who get kicked out is to send a box of fresh manure to Watchtower headquarters in New York. Enclose a note saying: This represents the value I have received from your Watchtower Organization'.

Jehovah Witness meltdown (J-dub mama steals money from witnesses and gambles it away)
by Joliette inmy ex jehovahs witness friends mom is taking money from people at the kingdom hall and gambling.
my friends mom threatened to call the elders and she had a total meltdown.
she calls my friend and his wife fat asses and curses them out!.

Well, ALL JWs are essentially 'gamblers' when you think about it. They have spent their lives slaving for the Watchtower and 'gambling' that there will be a huge jackpot at the end: Paradise Earth. Like most gamblers, in the end they will have lost everything and have nothing at all to show for all their efforts. All Witnesses need to be told that the odds are stacked against them. But of course they won't listen to the warnings. They fit the definition of 'born losers'. Poor dimwitted slobs.

Positive proof that prayer works!
by 3rdgen inabout a week ago my adult daughter called me crying.
it seems her beloved expensive cat had jumped out of her second story window and disappeared.
"oh dear!

As the story goes, 'God' hears the mumbled prayer requests of billions of people everyday. Then he decides to answer the ones he feels are 'sincere'. A mother in Africa praying for food for her sick and starving children? Sorry, but No. A high-school team's prayer that they win Friday night's Homecoming football game? Oh YES!!!! By all means this meets the test and must be fulfilled. See, 'God' has a sense of Justice just as the Bible teaches.

What's Artwork Question
by JustVisting inwhy does wt artwork always have one person that is looking at the reader when depicting a group of people?
whether it's the little girl in the sermon on the amount scene or the woman in the armagedon scene.
what is the psychological and/or subliminal effect of this one the reader?
-
NAVYTOWN
Personally, I always like the Watchtower artwork with the demonic subliminal themes.....semi-hidden male phalluses, devils' claws, etc. I wish they would go back to doing more of that. It made for some very interesting discussions. Any lurkers from the Watchtower art department reading this??? I hope so! Give us some more juicy subliminals to ponder over.
