Yes, but it will take a time. They will not get a new light immediatelly, they will need to whitewash their past and anything associated with that fiasco.

Do you eat foods labeled "low-fat"?
by compound complex ingreetings, health-conscious friends:.

If I can get food that is normal, I would buy it over low fat. I stop buying yogurts because almost all of them are low fat. I use butter over artifical fat, and regularly make sauces with heavy or sour cream. I work out regularly and I never had BMI over 24.

It is now 2003.... Where is Armageddon?
by Nosferatu ini find it extremely amusing how each year is passing without armageddon.
"for the year 2000, i visualize a world transformed into a beautiful paradise!
but i don't think that either the present world or its rulers will live to see that day.. we are living in the last days of the system of things.

My evil JW aunt enticed my parents in 1970's into the faith around 1975. I remember as school boy being told that I will have to put with it only shortly because "A" is behind the corner and I would not need to go to school anymore. She is dead, cremated, and buried for 13 years. Her elder sons are mid 50's.. who were told that they will never grew old. They still keep her cloths and room because the resurrection will be imminent.

All these people on that WT publication had died. As other had said, WT is different organization that the one I grew up 40 years ago. It hsas different doctrines, new lies, new prophecies and white-washed its past. My common debate with my JW family turns into the changing doctrines that they insist that WT got new light. I say if the new light is correct and the old light was wrong, who is the source of the old light? If the old light proved to be wrong like the generation of 1914 that will never die, that it could not come from God as He cannot lie. My relatives were stung with the reasoning because I had pointed it out that the WT is not God's channel of communication.

For 2000 years Christianity and its mentally weak members awaited Armageddon. World witnessed rise and fall of many empires in that time and horrible slaughters, plagues, famine, major earthquakes, scientitic revolutions, but Armageddon failed to arrive. When Lisbon Earthquake destoryed Portugal in 1755 on All Saint's Day, Catholic thought that Armageddon was just behind the corner. Poor St. Augustine and St. Jerome expected Jesus return when they heard the news that Rome was conquered in 410 at the hands of Goths. They could not imagine a world without Roman power;therefore, Jesus return was imminent. That was 1604 years ago. Jews still awaits their messiah, in each subsequent generation for the past 3000 years. Christianity can wait as long as well.

Jehovah's Witnesses's Matthew 24:14 Good News of the Kingdom.. A different Good News Galatians 1:9
by objectivetruth injehovah' witnesses use matthew 24:14, and their world wide preaching work, as proof, that they are the only "organization" that is doing jehovah's will.. what if the good news that they are preaching is a false good news or as paul would call it "a different good news"?
is there any value to a world wide preaching work, that is preaching a false good news?
or should that entire work be accursed?.

I agree with designs that Paul was charlatan and false prophet and apostle. Paul did not even had a gut to defend his faith against Jews and had to use his Roman citizenship rights to appeal to pervert and murderer Nero against his own people.

Babylon the Great is the BIGGEST Harlot!
by The Searcher intwo key scriptures in revelation give a description of btg, and by doing so, identify to whom the name "babylon the great" applies.
revelation 17:5,6 says, "babylon the great, the mother of the harlots and of the disgusting things of the earth.
" and i saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the witnesses of jesus".

I find it entertaining that JW claims to be the closest to original Christianity yet they teach nonsense that was invented by Catholic church like idea of original sin and adam failure that spreads out to the rest of the humanity. A concept that does not exist in Gospel, Jews do not believe it, it violates OT, and early Christians were not aware of this doctrine until St. Augustine. This is one of the many fiasco of JW lies.

Look into distribution of human race during interglacier period in Europe which was between 33,000 and 18000 years ago. These humans lived in Europe when glacier retreated and warmer period ushered migration northward where large mammals like mammoth lived. The 19th century named them simply mammoth hunters, but this is not correct definition in present standard. The culture and traces can be identified in pottery and artifacts, from which are most famous venus like Venus of Willendorf from Austria. Throughout Europe dozens of such statues were recovered. The mammoth hunters disappeared during last glacier period when ice shield covered much of the northern and central Europe until 10000 BC. This period was also followed by extinction of mammoths and large predators like sabertooth cat. When glacier melted and retreated, new flora and forest biome appeared in Europe with different mammals and different population. The interglacial period is very easy traced and documented throughout Europe and only could appear between 10000BC and 18000BC.

Majority of JW are sheep and they do not care what WT teaches. If WT will change 1914 into new date and with it all the nonsense like 1918/1919 and cr.p in Revelation, majority will not will not even shrugged to it. WT has moved away from generation that will never die to overlapping generations and members did not leave organization in masses.

We are seeing JW history in the making
by suavojr inwith all the current changes and downsizing, the 1914 "anchor date" appears to be drifting out to sea.
yes, i know the gb is putting all of their chips on 1914 but if you stop and think about it for a moment.. we are seeing jw history in the making for the next jw generation of 2114.. first they teach a date as significant.second, when it becomes obsolete, they come up with a convoluted explanation of how it really was significant, just not in the way "some believers" once taught.third, it becomes a historical footnote, as in: "bible students at one time thought... but now we see... evidently... .
the next generation of jws (100 years from today) will be talking about 2014 as the year of great expectation, and how close the end is in 2114. yes, when jesus spoke about this generation evidently he was talking in a symbolic way, and he was truly referring to the generation class.. .

WT will be here for another 100 years. Religion outlives its founders for centuries. There are suckers that are drawn into religion, and more obscure and extreme will attract more crazies. These crazies have children and this idiocracy is transferred into next generation. WT outlived Russell, Rutherford, Knorr, it will outlive 1914 fiasco. Its membership does not care. Amishes live in the middle of the most advanced metropolitan areas on this planet without indication that they are shrinking in size. 7DA are 40 years older than JW and has twice that many members. Not to mention mormons, Baha'i and others that originated in the 19th century. Catholic, Orthodox churches pull these scheme for 2000 years. WT will be here for many, many, centuries as long as human race on this planet.
