i took these pictures over a month ago.

i had not realized that they were really pushing their site.

this was at our farmers market, although they were not officially in the market area but off the side on the sidewalk.. .

WTS governing body changes - how have all those claiming to be anointed been exposed as liars?

in juan viejo2s recent thread about district overseer and other changes coming this bit was quite intriguing to me.. the governing body will be expanded to 12 to better match the biblical magic number of apostles, tribes of israel, etc.

that will also reset the 'magic number' to 8 needed to get a majority vote to make a doctrinal change.... one of my friends suggests that "annointed" will become synomous with "appointed.

" if a brother is "appointed" to the governing body, then the logic is that he has automatically been "annointed" by holy spirit and would therefore be considered to be part of the 144k.. .

I think, it will be NOT a big deal for the rank & file.

Because they do it today with the elders and the ms. They say, elders & ms are appointed by holy spirit.

Nobody care about - why should they care about for the GB-members? The majority not even know the names of the GB-members.

There are some questions I have had about the JWs view "post-Armaggeddon"

i have always wondered how jws believe about "post-armaggeddon" earth.

question#1 how will jws survivors bury all of the dead bodies.

with about 4 billion people on earth today how can 8 million jw(1/2 of them children and babies) bury all of those dead bodies?

Actual WT doctrine is, that Jehovah will solve this problem in a simlar matter (maybe special radiation), like Noah and his familiy had nothing to do with dead bodys.

Gerritt Lösch told on his last Zone visit in Europe (2011) the total opposit - that we will have to bury all of the dead bodies - but the actual WT literature does not support this.

Yes, all over the world - all DCs have the same programm - no difference it is a international convention or a "normal DC".

wow --> Jehovah dispenses spiritual food. Therefore he must be responsible for the flip-flops. Why haven't I seen all this long before?

Thanks for sharing this story. You and your wife are true christians - following the golden rule.

I had a simular story in our family: The child (around 10 years old and with cancer) has his last days in hospital. The child could not longer eat, could not talk since 1 day and the doctors gave him another 1 up to 2 days. One of his parents (father) stopped visiting his own child to go to the convention - and the child died during his father was on the convention. The mother could not understand and could not believe the lack of love from her husband. The rest is history: she got divorced and disfellowshipped.

Which Is More Important?
10 God’s servants are entrusted not only with a gift to be used in behalf of their fellow believers but also with a message to be shared with their fellow man. The apostle Paul recognized these two aspects of his service to Jehovah. By sharing zealously in the preaching work, we strive to imitate the example that Paul set as an untiring proclaimer of the good news. (Acts 20:20, 21; 1 Cor. 11:1) We know that preaching the Kingdom message can save lives. At the same time, however, we also strive to imitate Paul by looking for opportunities to “impart some spiritual gift” to fellow believers.—Read Romans 1:11, 12; 10:13-15.
11 Which of these two Christian activities is more important? Asking a question like that is somewhat similar to asking about a bird, Which of his two wings is more important? The answer is obvious. A bird needs to use both wings in order to fly properly. Similarly, we need to share in both aspects of our service to God in order to be complete as Christians. Thus, instead of regarding our assignments to preach the good news and to build up fellow believers as unrelated, we view them just as the apostles Peter and Paul did—as responsibilities that complement each other.

As long as a JW has ONLY to put the preaching hours onto his monthly timeslip - nothing will change.

What Bomb Will Be Dropped at This Years District Convention?

our insightful posters on this site were able to predict the new "spirit directed" generation teachings and fds teaching even years in advance.

what bomb do you thing will be dropped this year?

i know it will be big.

To save more money (paper and printing/transportation costs) the org will give the publishers little business cards to lead the householder to jw.org.

Beside the money saving - the publishers can carry more stuff in the handbag.

A new book will (must) be released for the midweek congregation bible (book)-study.

The revised bible will come for more languages.

Appointed men & the 10 hour rule

If a men was disfellowshipped, and later reinstated, he has to be a brave publisher for 5 years (since reinstated) - before he can be a MS.
