Since the article was written in '93, they've probably already used it! And if they haven't, those who did call out for Jehovah and got abused anyway will see right through it.

clearly, anyone reading this watchtower society response to a "frequently asked question" on their jw-media site would conclude that jehovah's witnesses fully accept that god will spare non-jws through armageddon and grant them salvation.
all that one has to do is take a "stand for truth and righteousness" before god's time of judgment.
therefore, as former-jws, hence also non-jws, we have absolutely taken a stand for "truth and righteousness" such as exposing the criminal behavour of the watchtower leadership and their policies, such as their program that acts to protect jw child molesters.

I've been checking into this, and all I can say is one person who commented here is right on the money, from everything I've seen. The hardest part of getting to the bottom of all of this is that each state has differing laws, and trust information is not public record.
The other thing I can say to set the record straight, is also from everything I've seen, individual KH property records show all kinds of different types of ownership. Some show the WT as owners, some show the owners as that congregation's corporation, some show individuals, some show co-ownerships, and yet others show the ownership as part of a trust - some of them living members, and some of them dead members. Trust me when I tell you that the WT is doing some interesting footwork in regards to KH's that I am willing to bet that even the elders of certain congregations aren't even aware of, or if they are, are not being given honest explanations for.
It will be interesting to see how this all pans out.

You might have come away with a girlfriend or two, but from the info Expat provided, it looks to me as if you wouldn't have come away with anything you could actually use in the real world - like math, reading, spelling, etc. Of course, I bet at that time in your life, it wouldn't have mattered to you!!!

The plaintiff's counsel seeks to strip a church of the sanctity and complete confidentiality of the confession
The WT is not half as worried about keeping the confession under wraps as they are about all the recorded incidents which led up to the alleged confession. They are using the argument of "protected confessions" to hide everything in this guy's file that came BEFORE the confession. It looks like it the WT trains their lawyers to operate the same way they do.

ok the group of writers that i collaborated with for the tales of christmas book (that chapters will be selling) is considering trying a second book about mothers.. most of the stories in the book will probably be about wonderful mothers.
well as many of you know i didn't get one of those.. i don't have to submit a story for this book if i don't want to.
and i am not a fiction writer (as i'm sure most of you have guessed).

I'm so sorry that you guys had mothers who couldn't or wouldn't give you what every child deserves to have. It breaks my heart just thinking about it.
LL - I think you should write it. IMHO - I think if I read a story like that in a collection of stories about mothers, it would help me to realize what a good mother I am - while at the same time, as Aviashi says - it would let others know they were not alone. Have you run this idea past "the powers that be" to see if they would even consider printing it? On the other hand, it could be a great catharsis for you to write it - whether or not it gets published.
I definitely think you should write it, no matter what the chances of getting it published are.
