I'm not sure about their (Baptist's) construction skills but they sure do win in the see who can build the biggest church category. BTW did you hear this?
Truisms
Catholics glorify Mary
Jews deny Christ
Baptists ignore each other in the liquor store
i noticed this article and found it interesting.
these baptist quick builds are much bigger than most all kingdom halls, and are built in days.
they have been known to withstand very high winds and bad weather.

I'll have a shot of that
while sitting at your desk make clockwise circles with your right foot.
while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand.
what direction is your foot going now?
I think I'll try to get everyone in my row to do that during the 'tower study on Sunday. Should be great fun.
there was this guy.
one day he went to work and found that a new girl had started working with him at his office.
her name was clearly and she was absolutely gorgeous.
can I pour you another glass of whtever it is you're drinking????
a panda walked in to a pub, ambled over to the bar, took a customer's sandwich; ate it-pulled a gun, shot the man dead, and left.. the barman was agast; he shouted 'oi, come back !
you can't do that'.
'i can... and i did' said the panda ' i'm a panda-look me up in the dictionary '.

this question is especially directed at those who dealed with field service reports.
i have yet to read a post which describes in detail the life cycle of one of these annoying slips of paper.. so.... at the end of the month, we put our fake hours into the box at the back of the hall or give them to the congregation book study conductor overseer.
who is responsible for tabulating the hours/books/rv's etc.
Served as Secretary for many years until I resigned and served as sub CO on and off for about 10 years or so. I never was one of those numbers men. I looked more at the overall appearnace of the cong. Were they happy, what was the spirit, etc.? This is not really the norm. Most CO's I know are pompous twits who look at hours as a total barometer of spiritual health. Of course just about everyone here reports of faked reports and wasted time running around in circles within the territory. So whose getting fooled here? The numbers men of course.
on bank holiday monday just gone, a dear kind older couple in the cong decided to take me and my good lady out for a slap up meal, to try to cheer us up after the recent upheaval in our life.
somehow i ended up with the bill.. anyway, this was the local italian trattoria were we often go, and are on first names terms with the staff and quite a few of the other regulars.
big mistake!!.
Because my winter home is in the Bible belt so-to-speak many people pray openly at meals. I've always thought it to be a bit of a show. We ve always had our prayer in the car beforehand. But what is really wrong with praying over your meal at the table if done tastefully and not so loud as to offend others?
i was thinking today about a certain poster who seems to have a hard time dealing with anyone who does not embrace his point of view.
he appears to be one of those big, very good looking men who is use to having people pander to him.
y-all know the type, pretty-boy, who the ladies, starting with momma, always think is wonderful no matter what stupid thing he does or says.
I have no clue what the heck yawl are talk'in bout
owyergoin?
today's been a blowy day on the east coast of oz.
here's tonight's news report from associated press:.
Think of this, there are some 6 million publishers in the world, if evrey pub. got just 2 copies that's half of the printing of each issue. The numbers are much higher than this. How many get thrown away, who would admit it? I get 4 copies of each issue and then when the counter is unattended put three back....
you lurkers.
the ones who read this board just to observe everything that's going on.
never say a word, except on very rare occasions.
It is interesting to see the realm of diverse posts, some I find informative, some boring, some stupid, and so on. IF we all thought exactly the same, what a boring life. I must admit thatI'm amazed to see that folks have made thousands of posts, I don't often have time to make posts and when I do I'm not in the mood for long philosophical discussions and tend to post on the lighter side of things.
