My Dating horror= You can't have coffee at the mall without a chaperon???
by Witness 007 inbeing a pioneer/servant for years, i thought i was very responsible.
when dating a sister whom i later married, i read every publication on courtship the society had.
i then spoke to an elder whom i thought was "resonable" and we agreed as the publications say: "a couple can meet together in a public place, when courting, without a chaperon.

got one better for ya.......... my sister was introduced to a brother........ nice guy mind you. spoke another language........... sis didnt........ always chaperoned......... but they kissed outside right before he would leave.
elders told her they HAD to get engaged or they would be sending the wrong signals........... so they got engaged.
hes still a nice guy but they totally didnt know each other when they got married. he didnt know about her serious health problems and she didnt know he had pretty bad ocd........ and they still couldnt converse properly.
definately starting a marriage out on the wrong foot..... and they have no choice but to stay together so they just deal.

The most IMPORTANT preaching work ever
by darth frosty inis being carried out by two old women standing on the street corner looking like they are either waiting for a bus or lost.. .
i was at work today and drove past a couple of 'sister's' doing street work.
to my trained eye, i could tell that they were indeed witnesses.

Will you always be a Jehovah's witness?
by tsunami_rid3r inthis is an emotional thread for me right now.
my parents just visited me, and their witness talk has gotten me down.
my mom asked me the usual questions i will say yes to.

to answer your question.. HELL NO ill never be a witness ever again.
breaking free and abandoning the cult for what it is, is a start but it takes quite a while to work out the bulls*** they have cramed down your throat all your life.
when you do get out and break free for the last time............. you will finally start to enjoy life. not being forced to slave for those people and to do this and that cause they say to and if you dont........ GUILT TRIP.
it MUST be YOU thats wrong............. thats what the jws tell you or if they dont say it outright thats the impression the force upon you.
GRACE.......... thats what god has for each and every liveing person on earth...... he dosent expect you to earn it peddeling magazines or reporting field service time....... he gives it freely to you. he wants you to have the best life you can and for it to be happy.
if you feel you need to leave that town in order for your life to be right then by all means do so........ dont let them get you down. there are two schools of thought....... fade and put up with their crap always asking did you go to the meetings and all that....... or break it cleanly and say CULT CULT CULT so they wont bother you with their guilt.
i faded and then am now responding with CULT CULT CULT ......... the few times they call me i will respond to every witness jab with a christian non cult jab.................. soon they stop and i dont have to bother.

X--JW WarFare..."OUTLAW Style"
by OUTLAW ingood evening from "the great white north",jwd!
!..this is an incredible board..we are all so lucky to have our hosts, mods and (most)members of this site..lol!
!.....so many ideas.so many personalities.so much exchange of knowledge and ideas.right here on jwd!.....this thread was inspired by another thread..thank-you "hidden window"!.....i hope this thread inspires other "ideas",just like i was inspired by another thread......................many of us want to show our loved ones and the rest of the world, the "real wbt$".....we want to get our loved ones out of a "cult"..and..the international political world will bring the wbt$ down, when they can no longer disguise themselves as a religion.....the wbt$ is a political organization, disguised as a religious organization seeking "world domination"!.....most of us are not ready to take on a billion dollar organization, the wbt$.....we only want our families back!.....not all jw`s are ready to read ray franz`s:"crisis of conscience"..or..barbera andersons new cd:"secrets of pedophilia in an american religion.jehovah`s witness`s in crisis"..but..some are!

better to request the book and see if they will get it themselves............. lots of librarys will just sell books that are donated and use the money to buy the books that are requested......... even if they are selling the same books that are being requested.
only in america

Do "Apostates/ex-jws" picket their "new" churches if they disagree?
by booker-t init seems that every ex-jws now has so much rage at the wt society for the way they were treated and all of the scandals.
i was wondering though if an "apostate/ex-jws" found disagreement or scandal in their new church would they picket or get on the internet or get on tv warning people about the christian church?
i can answer that question with one word no.

BOOKER T......... please remove your head from your ass.
Either you have never been a dub or you just dont understand what the WT is. im curious.... whats your story that you would make those ignorant statements.. id really like to know.
It seems that when a JW's becomes disgruntle and leaves the WT society they accept anything the churches tell them. It seems like that don't want to make waves or that they feel that they cannot take being deceived by another church
churches are like night and day from the jws.... reason is when they are wrong they ADMIT it, they also dont reguire blind obedience........ if you dont agree with something or dont understand it ....... you can speak to them all the way up to the senior pastor untill your questions are answered from the bible.
in a REAL church the flock elects the elders and the pastor........ which is how it should be. not the way the jws do it where some old bastards in new york approve who the elders elect themselves. you ever see someone made an elder who YOU KNOW isnt worthy..... who cheats on his wife or is a alcholic. happens every day.
A good scenario would be a battered wife that spent years with an abusive husband and finally leaves. She meets another man and after so much time gets into a relationship with him. But when he becomes a abusive husband she will usually keep quiet because people will start looking at her as the "problem" not her husbands/boyfriends. Apostates/ex-jws are exactly the same way. Nobody put a gun to their heads and made them believe in all of the stuff the WT taught them
im gonna venture a guess right here and now.......... youve never been in that organization....... to make such an ignorant statement.
the wt dosent put a gun to the heads of the flock......... they dont need to......... through mind control they force the flock to put the gun there itself.
you cant question their decisions........ you cant get elders or higher officals removed. they will kick you out if you start a seconds worth of trouble. they will discredit anything you say about them thats negative and they will make you feel like other witnesses are doing things right but your the screw up.......... there standard answer is ............ wait on jehovah because the problem lies with you.
as a former jw i was abused...... forced to do things that i didnt want to and lied to the entire time. once they kick you out then they make sure that it looks like your the PROBLEM. what they dont understand is........... i dont have to keep QUITE about it anymore. the other religions out there dont force you to not say a word about them... if you disagree you can stand up in the middle of sunday service and shout it out.
the jws are supposed to be a religion and according to their own horse s*** they are the ONLY religion........... and then when you finally are able to break free of their conditioning....... and realize you have been lied to about EVERYTHING...... then you question EVERYTHING you hear in a church from then on out.
dont know what your background is or what your problem is but if you havent been inside...... your ignorant...... be thankfull that you are cause if you were a dub and forced to swallow their bulls*** you would be damaged and angry.
BUT you wouldnt let it happen to you again and you wouldnt be quiet about it again.

grateful to my Elders..No talks, no FS time, no privledges....no problem!
by oompa inso one year of lots of questions and showing doubts, and missing quite a few meetings but still going out in service, doing mics, reading, hall projects...then i get the new light from society regarding the letter i sent them (wow, stunned me, blew me away) and i let them know how i felt about it and i quit the ministry after 40 active years.
nobody says anything about this, no counsel, no will you go out with us on saturday.
not a single "were is your time for the month" phone call.

well i moved to another city within my circuit.... where i knew probably 75% of the people..... worked my butt off and didnt have time for the meetings but on sunday i would drive back home and go to my old cong......... then maybe i would work sundays instead (double time hell yeah) so that was my pattern......... sundays at home and nothing the rest of the time....... still did minimum FS to keep from being inactive.......... but then i quit doing all of it. folks kept asking if i wanted to come go out with them but i was like whats the point....... geeze imagine a dub useing guilt................... lol.
so i went to the meetings occasionally up in the new city....... with people who knew me......... and they didnt talk to me much. this is me........ MS former regular pioneer....... at EVERY hall project ect ect. they knew where i lived...... no calls no visits....... so screw this........ a year later....... NOTHING. untill i decided screw it all and missed my first DC...... ohhhhhhhh now theres when my dad drew the line........... he called in and got some nosey ass elders and lit a fire under their asses so from then on seems every damn week the bastards were beating down my door. offering to come pick me up for the meetings....... i was like. dude i could F****** walk to the hall from here um..... no dont need any damn help ( fact is i was a good place to start and stop their FS time) amazeingly enough it was alright.
