i promise you one thing............... when you move out of your parents realm of influence and pay your own bills.......... it goes along way towards makeing you ready for a relationship which can lead to marriage.

Update on Marrying a Non-Witness
by why??? inhi everyone back in may i wrote about marrying my b/f whose not a witness...the advice you all gave was very helpful...however my b/f has decided that it would be better for us to be friends for a while while i sort out what i want and he needs to do the same...i agreed with him..but its been very hard.... he says that my parents are influencing me so much,which is true.
i want to move out and live on my own for a while after i graduate next june....so thats my plan for now.....i have a job and my school schedule all planned out..i just need to save money....i still have feelings for him but i hurt him in the past with my indecisiveness and he doesnt want to go through that again and i dont blame him...i need the space to figure myself out some more...but we still talk all the time....today he said that he just wants me to get myself together and that he'll wait for me....while he gets himself together with school and stuff,which is what i want.....so thats how it is for now...no marriage in the next year or so....i will be doing what you all said finishing school, meeting new ppl, trying to have fun(with the limited freedom my parents give me), move out and live on my own first ....then see where we stand.......

by The Last Nephilim inthe "judicial loophole" thread gave me a thought- what would happen if someone faded a la moving far away but then later decided to start all over again and pretend to know nothing about jws and go through the motions of becoming a jw again?
would there be a record of your first baptism on file at hq?
if so, what if you deny that it's you, that someone else just has the same name?

FACT: i know someone who did just this very thing. he was dfed in another country, immigrated to the us and when he inevitably got called on responded and got baptised........ a year or so later is ms............. then he said something to an elder that made him start thinking.............
this guy said he never heard of jws before when he first got called on in the states........ then later on spoke about how they did things in his country of origin.................. these same brothers were apparently considering him for elder............... idiot couldnt keep his mouth shut long enough and when questioned broke and told them everything........ dfed instantly for being unrepentant...................
i wish he would have continuted untill he was super elder........ then assistant circuit overseer..............
then full time circuit overseer............. then district............................... then meet someone from his old cong

Instead of you squirming, make them squirm. Have the children dress up in their costumes, ring the bell and when the relatives come to the door say "trick or treat" and then "November (April) Fools!!! At the supper table talk about how hungry you are for turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie. That should break the ice for everyone

Empty nest syndrome, youngest son has plans to move out.
by restrangled infeeling very sad as my youngest son is making plans to move out by next month.
his older brother and himself plan on renting an apartment together and they just went to look at one in their price range.. yes i can have a guest bedroom now and a spotless bath for anyone visiting....... just feeling very sad about the youngest ready to be on his way which is only right.
i suppose i won't feel so sad when we get the first request for financial assistance.. r..
