My God, the things they say, shish! How ridiculous. That's just like, "reading the watchtower and awake magazines, is the equivalent to having a college degree". My Mother herself has said this very thing.

Them thinking that pioneering is equal to my full time job!
by LongHairGal inthis was a topic that annoyed me and i got into a bit of an argument years ago over this.. some sister (who never worked a day in her life i might add) with the cushy life, affluent husband thought that because she pioneered it was equal to me having a full time secular job.
there were others there who naively thought the same thing.
somehow i gave them an inferiority complex because i worked so they had to dream this up to make themselves feel better.. while i agree that someone who pioneers may be physically tired at the end of the day, there is no comparison to what i have to deal with in going to and from and being on a full time job.

JW's are LOSING IT
by GetBusyLiving inat one of the last bookstudies i ever attended i heard a comment that really struck home to me how desperate these people really are getting, to the edge of insanity.
an older woman commented, "you can tell the end is coming.. its in the air.. you can feel it.. there is something in the air.. times are just.. different" and the whole time she was manically glancing around the room.
the conductor agreed with her.

they can't keep up the pace much longer. Satan is keeping them too busy in this system and it's wearing them out. The end must come soon!
Same thing they were saying 20 years ago, hmmm...

NEW RELEASE FROM THE ASSEMBLY
by Mary ini'm not sure if anyone has posted this, but one of the new releases from the assembly is called "what does the bible really teach?
the contents are too boring to completely reiterate, but here's a sample:
what is god's purpose for the earth?

Are you asleep yet??
No, I'm actually too grossed out to be sleepy right now, IKKY! And the way they toss the word "true" around, true Christians, true believers, as if to differentiate that all the others, are false. Always having to elevate themselves above other religions. Can't believe I listened to all this stuff, 20 years ago. Recycled garbage is all it is. -

Hi Goldie, nope, never tried that per se. But I have had a talk or two about the wrongness of the whole JW cult, with no success I might add. I am curious what makes you ask though. I am sure there is a story behind your question?

I wish i was adopted...
by kittyeatzjdubs inyet again my dear matt wanted to make an attempt to break the ice with my father and his stupid new wife, whom i feel no responsibility to like or accept because she's young enough to be my father's daughter (she's 29 and my father's 60!!!
) and she's trifling and two faced.
i honestly feel that she's just with him for the money.

(((Kitty)))) You poor thing, I know its hard for you. My witness family did not want to accept my hubby, when I first introduced him. God, the migraine headaches I got from the stress of it all. And actually, I would put him up against any one of my brothers, and my father, he is a much better man. Decent, good, loving, patient, the list goes on, (cute too, yay for me!)
Anyway, I know how you feel sweetie, and hey, its their loss, ok? Seems like we keep knocking ourselves out for their acceptance, and what for? And your Step-MONSTER, someone called a gold digger, yup, sounsd like it. Hang in there ok Sweetie.

What should I do?
by misguided inwhen my youngest son came home from his weekend with his father, i realized it would soon be july, and my ex has a 10-day access period specified for july, and i thought i'd better write it on the calendar.
while doing this, my son tells me he's going to go somewhere with his dad, but he's not allowed to tell me.
i said to him, "hey, bud, you've got to tell me.

I think it would make for a great news story. Alert the media that your JW ex-husband is planning to violate the court order for access to your son. Get the police involved. Stand outside the stadium where the convention is taking place and picket with a sign that says
"MY SON HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED AND IS BEING HELD IN THIS CONVENTION IN VIOLATION OF A CUSTODY ORDER"
"JEHOVAHS WITNESSES AID AND ABET ABDUCTION BY NON CUSTODIAL PARENT
I LIKE it!
I think you should do whatever you can to keep your son away from this cult. Think of all the stories on this website, of children who were raised in the cult, and all they damage its caused to them, not only as children, but how it interferes with the functioning of their adult life. Find a way to save your son. Hey, the law, is the law! You have the law on your side here, use it.

Will the Real "Great Crowd" Please Stand Up!!!
by rockhound inin doing some research on the "great crowd" or "great multitude", i found some interesting watchtower articles that brought to the fore a very thought provoking question for all jehovahs witneses.
please follow the paper trail.. the watchtower of may 15,1995,p.20
18 in 1935 a bright flash of light revealed that the great crowd mentioned at revelation 7:9-17 was not a secondary heavenly class.

What do you do in your spare time?
by EvilForce ini have been here for almost 3 months now and was curious what ya'll did for fun outside of jwd.com.
right now because it's summer and it's too hot i don't do much glassblowing.
but that is where i spend most of my weekends when i'm not working.

WHAT spare time??? You silly person My kids are 3 and 7, and between work, taking care of the home, and them, guitar lessons, karate, dance, soccer, baseball, well I try to get a jazzercise lesson in here and there. I dont always make it though, but that is ok by me. I thoroughly enjoy watching my kids get the most out of life, and watching them get to do all the things I never got to do as a dub. Its ok by me.

the motivation from the soul that is not distinguished by words.
When you put it like that, then yes, by all means my spirit led me out. I have my parents to thank for leading me in, that was not my choice at all. And welcome Smiles, it is nice to have you here.
