This one just burns me up. I recently called my dad on a few of the societies false teachings, and that's what I got from him. The society never said that. GRRR!

At home for sure, I'm the leader. But in other environments, I try real hard not to be, sometimes I just wanna kick back and let someone else be in charge. But, it always seems like I am thrown into leadership positions, I dont get it.

first of all, the standard christian and jw definition changes the meaning of fear to respect, like a person respects the power of gravity.

Very good point Sonny. Come to think of it, yea, that's what I feared the whole time I was a dub, if I didn't do all the dub crap, Dog (I like that Talesin) would kill me. That's all it was based upon.

the genetic manipulation thread got me thinking about this: as the times change, there will no doubt be more and more things the wts frowns upon, and these might be phrased in the ypa format similar to a list such as "you might be a redneck jedi if ..." so how about it?

i can't think of much now, but one elder once expressed that he didn't want his daughter to have a cd player.
