  i remember when i was a kid going on vacation somewhere with my family, my parents would always have to find out where the local kingdom hall was.

  god forbid we should miss a meeting because we were actually enjoying our time away from work and school..

  What is definition of a true friend, once outside the cult?

  after leaving the cult of jw's or waking up to ttatt, it is a struggle to trust people again.

  i am personally starting from scratch although i am still in.

  each moment i spend with my current jw friends, i know they are all smiles and loving towards me because of my good status with the wt.. outside a cult you still find fake people and it is also a struggle to find true friends and it is even worst when we've been hit hard from people we used to trust and care for.. .

  I am finding it hard to meet a good friend. My hubs is my best friend. I would love to meet a good girl fire.I was at Skittles on Saturday night, a church do and I got chatting to a lady who gave me her mobile phone number. The church has a ramblers club and I said I'd like to come along, she offered me transport.they have a walk and a pub lunch each month.

  Slowly but surely, I hope to meet new friends.

  Finally free of JWs!

  we moved house and no active jw knows we live there.

  it's in another congregation territory too so when they finally come knocking, they won't know i'm a dirty apostate when i tell them to put me on the do not call list.

  problem is, the local discount supermarket across the highway is frequented by jws from my previous previous congregation!.

  Remember to keep the toilet seat down, it's stops money flowing out of the house - according to Zen. I've been doing it for years and I'm still no better off!!

  This move is a great new start. You can shun the witnesses in your local supermarket now!!

  We are also looking to move with my hubs job. Still waiting to hear from his interview earlier this month.

  It will be a new start for me, not having to deal with shunning in my local supermarket!! How petty and childish this cult is.

  Keep enjoying your birdies. I love them too. They always sound so happy.
