I live in New Zealand and they interviewed the boyfriend on TV when he mentioned her big 50th birthday party coming up this weekend. I hope she is okay but the press have really landed her in it. Strange that it was the "worldy" boyfriend that reported her missing and not the witness's ?

mr coogan said last night that he spoke to ms aphiromlerk while he was away in the united states with his son.
they had arranged that she would pick them up on their return.

Watchtower and E - Watchman
by Blueblades ingiven the watchtower's penchant to shut down and threaten some of our posters who shall remain nameless for legal reasons, why have they not gone after e - watchman?.
why have they not shut him down with legal threats?
how is it that he is still able to post his tirade against the governing body and they have not done anything against him up to now?

What do you dream about?

for the past 6 years i have been a daily user of a certain illegal herb, the one that blocks your dreams.
in my defence i have chronic pain and it helps.

Any witnesses celebrating a birthday?

my childs bithday is coming up in october and this year im going for it.i have her present bought and everything is in place to give her fantastic day to remember.for to long i have doubted this unfair policy of the borg and push has finally come to shove!.

As a exjw I practise birthdays hard and long. My mother who hasn't been for years has suddenly decided she wants us (her children) to celerbate hers. Fat chance! we celerbrate her birth because she changes her mind. Only when I get presents for mine and she can cought up a "happy birthday" for me. Not just a phone call on my "special day' More crap

Need advice!
by Seeking Knowledge inhowdy everyone, i must start by saying "thank you"for posting all this information on the jw way of life in here, i appreciate everything that you guys are putting out there, both for your own use and to help others like me.
i've posted a couple times, but mostly i'm here to learn, but now it's time for me to ask questions!.
i am not a jw, i was involved with one for several years, and we have a son.

I suggestion I would make is "Daddy and i have different rules at his home there are some rules and at my house some rules are different, here we have birthdays and xmas"

Start as you mean to go on. If you what a church wedding, have one. Invite them to come, their choice if they don't. Don't live your life around them. Be nice, keep in contact but do what you and your huband want.

I agree I see many witless that I grew up with. Teeth now broken stubs in their mouths, grossly overweight. And they have the cheek to tell me that it will all be fixed after amagedon.

Holidays and kids once you are out of the Org
by Iforget inmy son was born after i faded.
his dad and i always have had christmas (father never was jw).
we celebrate his birthday and we do easter.

Tell me about it. Brought up in the borg left in my teens. Am now 41 and last xmas was standing in the shop full of xmas decorations I sudden realized I didn't know how to decorate a xmas tree. Almost cried with a sense of saddness about another part of my life missed out on.

Meetings or bible studies
by Teela ini go to cake decorating class, another class member was talking about there mother i recognised her mother as a jw.
i mention that my mother knew this person and she agreed and completley shut down the conversation.
however what was strange was the class occurs on a tuesday night, from 7-9pm.

I should explain this is an adults class we are both in our forties. It is held in a private home with only two other people attending. The JW is a mother in her 40's. She said it was inconvience to attend on Tuesdays and I looked at her very carefully, she couldn't look me in the eye. It was the cult at work but she could'nt admit it.
