Hi Reason....
From your comments regarding world events and "the end" being near, why don´t you open another thread with regards to this and lets, as per your name suggests, reason upon the matter?. Looking forward to it

recently the local congregation had the visit of the c.o.
the local needs talk he usually gives was replaced by a talk he said will be given to many congregations around the world.. this talk is targeting th very young.
kids are being strongly encouraged not to put off baptism and that children as young as 10 can make an informed decision to get baptized.

as an it business consultant, i always use michael porter's competetive forces model to assess whether a firm's e-business strategy will give them a competitive advantage against competitor's.. the competitive forces model identifies five forces in the industry that a firm needs to contend with to become successful.
these forces are the:.
1) bargaining power of customers.
LOL jwbot............IT Consultant = unemployed .....I certainly wouldn´t want this guy consulting on my IT business LOL

in all the years i went door to door as a jw, i never once had a study who went all the way to baptism.
in the thirty years i've know my wife -- who has been a jw all this time -- she has never made a single convert from going door to door either.
is this true of others on this forum?
Nope, not one convert for me either!!!,....if I look back on my cong, the % actually sitting in the KH due to door to door work was absolute minimal, just extended families made up the majority...

You Say "Bargaining power of suppliers (the apostates and other denominations) The apostates don't really have a tangible product to substitute the WTS product. All they can do is try to prove the WTS is wrong, that's about it". Ummmm I think you have forgotten something here, It HAS been proven that the WTS product is wrong.....and "Tangible Product for subsitution" is subjective, to think that people require a similar product is typical WT brainwashing, you forget dear friend, the WTS members amount to less then 1% of the worlds population, hardley a triumph for "da truff"??? i'd never thought about this... but last night my father asked for my time.
and i told him i didn't have any.
he didn't seem to mind so he went ahead long his way.. .
"What I have trouble with is the percentage of JWs who do street work in Sacramento on Saturday mornings, who just walk around looking businesslike, displaying the magazines and talking amongst themselves"
Yeah I can totally relate to this, I was in a Cologne in December and there was this one Witness doing street work, just standing there, with a watchtower half heartedly poking out of a book bag lol........I broke my neck to walk by, and made eye contact, in the hope they would stop me........Nope not a sausage lol, seems if my life is dependant on their presentation of the goodnews to me, I've had it.sheeeesh

i am trying to help someone and need some advice.
when i left the jw's, i was one of the fortunate ones in that i was never shunned.
my family has unconditional love for all their kids which seems to be a hard concept for a lot of active jw's to grasp.
