A father who would save someone else's kid instead of his own, (assuming we're just talking about two kids here and not the fate of the free world,) isn't much of a father.

Another J W e mail
by NikL ini noticed another thread on this site relaying a stupid e mail making the rounds of dubdom.. well i just got this one and i thought i would share.... powerful illustration.
after the prayer, the local elder slowly stood up, walked up to the.
platform and, before he gave his public talk, he briefly introduced a guest.

Congratulations! Hahaha! My 21st anniversary of being an idiot just passed on the 14th. Funny how I can't remember my own damn wedding anniversary, but I never forget the stupid baptismal date.

Bichons are great, active enough for walks, but fine with hanging out. I don't have one, but I like them. My cocker spaniel is a really great dog. If he can be near me, and chase the ball once in awhile, he's perfect. Never has accidents in the house, is quiet most of the time, good manners. I have a dachshund who is the spawn of satan. He's noisy, demanding, potties in the house, eats his food in 1.5 seconds, chases the cats, terrorizes the cocker... *sigh* We're getting ready to go for round 2 with the dog trainer.

If someone told you they would give you $10 M,,,,,, if you,,,,,,
by AK - Jeff injust closed your eyes, threw a dart at the world map, and would have to take the 10 million, get on a plane within the hour, move to that location, and never look back, contact your friends or relatives again.
no rule changes.
you can take your mate and/or minor children, but can tell no one else.

the anywhere in the world thing? No. The "take the mate and the 'kids'" thing? Sure I can do that.

::::As long as I am considered as part of the congregation the elders have some authority over me; ::::
Amber, the elders only have authority over you if you give them that authority. Whatever their decision, you are going to live your life as a healthy, thinking member of society, right? So where is their authority? They cannot require you to DA, and DF'ing you only works within the bounds of their own little world and the other people who choose to subject themselves to it. They have NO authority to force you to be "Amber Rose Disfellowshipped Sagan" or "Amber Rose Disassociated Sagan", can they? Just because it is their rule, doesn't mean it has to be yours.
Wishing you both the best. -O

Caught Wife Cheating
by roflcopter inso i posted a while back about my marriage problems.... whole new gambit thrown into the mix.
i've had suspicions all along that something like this might be happening... but only just not confirmed that she's been cheating on me... with another jw that she works with!
she could have been more discreet about it rather than leave all the text messages on her phone.

SBF: I'm not above using their own stick to beat them with. Presumably that is the sentiment being expressed here.

I was a big huge nerd. Only girl in the "computer club" which I was allowed to attend because it was held during normal school hours, during break time. I was in the band, so I was also a band geek, and I was a JW- one of those maddening ones who preached, earning me the sometimes nickname of 'bible girl,' although our school had a thriving junior something or other which was a fundie christian club, so I was oddly NOT the most rabid bible thumper in my small-town high school. I had a very large vocabulary since one of my favorite subjects was always "language arts," and believe me, that never got me any kudos, so add the moniker "walking dictionary" to the list of names I wished I didn't answer to... bah.
In spite of all that stuff, I really liked school and was pretty depressed over not continuing after H.S., even though I "knew" I was right. Currently, I have vocational school training, and still no higher education. It's one of the wrongs I hope to rectify someday.

It's Saturday night, did you have your smoke? :) I did, had one of my A.F. Exquisitos, but the last 1/2 was kind of rough. Next time I buy a box of shorties, I'll get the Cohiba pequenos, which I usually only have at McMenamins, cause they're so damn expensive (to me). ;)
