    pet·u·lant (pech'?-l?nt) pronunciation
    adj.

    1. Unreasonably irritable or ill-tempered; peevish.
    2. Contemptuous in speech or behavior.

Heck yeah! What's wrong with being petulant? A lot of us do have contempt for the Society. What's it to ya?!

Ballistic: this initial post struck a big nerve with me....I am not the biggest poster in the world but what little i have to say means quite a bit to me...the validity of this site lies within the power that the whole has grown due to individual shunning received from the society in a variety of ways. The old men in bethel probably dont think that there is much life for those of us who have been tossed out like some old garbage but when you put all of us together on a board such as this a new life grows and develops all on its own. Validity....and in the same breath we were called petulant children....I have a five year old and I dont even refer to HER as petulant....but you never fully know what grows in the minds of others...its that freedom that allows even those types of posters to say what they like...I am just laughing this off now...:) thanx tho!

Eyes can't see, ears can't hear, and the heart has grown thick... for the rest - this a healing, like Van Morrison talks about coming into The Mystic. Yes, I have friends here. We understand, and that's so cool!

Is their any valid reason for the existance of this site?

    Yes.

It is an excellent place to compare and discuss WATCHTOWER BIBLE and TRACT SOCIETY™ teachings, past and present with God's Word.

It is alxo an excellent place to research the hidden agenda of the WATCHTOWER BIBLE and TRACT SOCIETY™, particularly their 9 year association with the United Nations during which they have registered 5 separate NGO's, their changing blood doctrines, their double standard regarding blood transfusions as evidenced by an agreement they made with the country of Bulgaria and the European Commission on Human Rights, their 51% ownership of Rand Engine Company which is engaged in the manufacture, research and development of advanced propulsion systems for airborne military drone vehicles.

The many revisions of literature produced by their publishing company is brought to light so that active, ex and prospective Jehovah's Witnesses can see that what is in printed the bound volumes and in loose magazines may have been changed in order to reflect 'New Light".

It is also an excellent place to warn prospective victims of the WATCHTOWER BIBLE and TRACT SOCIETY™ concerning the 'Good News' that is being preached by Jehovah's Witnesses. See below:

Does it matter to you that JW's teach people that Christ is not their mediator?

Or, did you know that this is the position of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society?

Don't take my word for it. Here is the reference discussing it:

"WORLDWIDE SECURITY UNDER THE PRINCE OF PEACE"

chap. 1 pp. 9-12 pars. 14-20 The Desire for Peace and Security Worldwide

14 With painful hurt to themselves, most of mankind do not desire to accept or to believe in the Almighty God’s provision for his worshipers to enjoy relative peace and security even in this most lamentable state of human affairs. However, Jehovah is “the God who gives peace,” and it is our blessed privilege now to enter into a peace and security that will never fail. (Romans 16:20; Philippians 4:6, 7, 9) It is a peace and security that he gives even now to his body of earthly servants, his visible organization, in fulfillment of his ever-reliable promises. It is a peace and security that we can enjoy only in association with his visible organization on earth.

15 It would be out of line with the plain teachings of the Scriptures to believe that God does not have an organization, an organized people, that he exclusively recognizes. Jesus Christ recognized that his heavenly Father had a visible organization. Until Pentecost 33 C.E., it was the Jewish organization in covenant relationship with Jehovah God under the Law of Moses.—Luke 16:16.

16 Just as the ancient nation of Israel was in a covenant relationship with Jehovah God through the mediator Moses, so the nation of spiritual Israel, “the Israel of God,” has a covenant relationship through a mediator. (Galatians 6:16) It is as the apostle Paul wrote to his Christian fellow worker: “There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:5) Was Moses the mediator between Jehovah God and mankind in general? No, he was the mediator between the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and the nation of their fleshly descendants. Likewise, the Greater Moses, Jesus Christ, is not the Mediator between Jehovah God and all mankind. He is the Mediator between his heavenly Father, Jehovah God, and the nation of spiritual Israel, which is limited to only 144,000 members. This spiritual nation is like a little flock of Jehovah’s sheeplike ones.—Romans 9:6; Revelation 7:4.

Here is the portion I have the most problem with:

Was Moses the mediator between Jehovah God and mankind in general? No, he was the mediator between the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and the nation of their fleshly descendants.

This is a lie. Outright contradiction against the Scriptures. This is why:(1) Moses brought out of Egypt the Israelites and a vast mixed company of non-Israelites. He was the mediator also for these. These also agreed to serve God. These also gave sacrifices and were bound to the law of Moses. They WERE NOT fleshly descendants of Abraham, nor were they alien residents in the Land of Promise.

    (2) Proselytes were welcome, and for anyone who was willing to agree to the covenant of the Mosaic Law—and in the case of males, undergo circumcision—Moses became the mediator between God and man.

You know Moses was the mediator for anyone who wished to come into that favored relationship. But the doctrine of "other sheep" who have a different hope requires this lie. The doctrine of "other sheep" requires a different shepherd than Jesus, another "go-between," another mediator. If Jesus is not your mediator, who is? If someone else is your mediator, how is it that you have been listening to the voice of the owner? (John 10:1-21)

JW's have been deceived. They have listened to the voice of strangers. They have followed after some who wish to break in and steal them away. Currently, they are told that the rightful King and High Priest is unapproachable in prayer. (Hebrews 5:1-14) Currently, they are cut off from the one to whom God gave all authority in heaven and on earth. (Matthew 28:18) And you let it happen. What's more, they actively promote such an empty relationship about the one they claim to believe saved them.

Do you have any more questions?

    BTW, welcome to JWD.

You know, I kind of got the impression that this poster posted this message to sound intelligent. Yet it misses something and it is key and it makes it stand out that this person is missing the most important part of what would be considered an intelligent post. For to post such a question, you would show a lack of ability to take the time to actually read what was said and to learn more about what the Witness religion is and how it affects people. To study cross references to cults, mind control and all things mentioned on here. So to just post something like this and out of the blue, as the first post, it shows that this person is intelligent in another way. Which is to be condescending and argumentative, knowing what he or she already knows the answer to the question and because of that, they also know what buttons to push. So perhaps, we should not allow them to push such buttons so easy. As people seem to do this a lot of here and I think people take it far to serious. I find it comical, at best.

The beauty of this and other xjw sites is that it is not controlled by brainwashing practitioners. Most people who post here are now allowed to question and think for themselves, supporting others along the way.

That's like asking what's the point of AA. Yes...they're two different things completely on a certain level, but they both allow you to interact with others who feel your pain and know what you've been through. It sounds cheesy, but a lot of who I am happened b/c of this site.

    luv, jojo
