It won't take long for a lot in the cong. to know about this brother and what he did. I agree. This is between you and your god; not a bunch of humans (and I'm sure some of them are also guilty w/this too but are hypocrites).
Hopefully his wife will think outside of the box and talk w/her husband and forgive and go on. There are children here also involved. What a sad situation.

I think that the attitude is pretty sad. No attempt at restoration of the elder. Just kick them out. Keep Jah's Borg clean.

He should have kept his mouth shut in view of all the trouble his admission will unleash on him and his family. He knows that the WTS has no compassion for such transgressors.
Interesting that a lap dance by a topless dancer would be grounds for divorce. Ok for a woman to get the crappola beat out of her for years but no grounds for divorce on that bases. Rather sick isn't it.
Personally I don't think that they guy getting off from a lap dance is grounds for divorce. LOL Unless he gets it out of his pants and touched flesh to flesh it don't count. LOL His addiction to porn is far more offence personally than a lap dance. But hey that is just me.

The Governing Corpse never seems to catch on that most of the sexual problems JWs experience are a direct result of the unhealthy-to-the-point-of-diseased mentality that it itself has created in JWs. This attitude originated during the Russell era, and was reinforced greatly during the Knorr era, largely, I think, due to Knorr and Franz's pathological views of sex.
Franz was never married and had at best a theoretical notion of what sex is supposed to be. He actually wrote a Watchtower article comparing "women in heat" to "cows in heat" and warning young men against their evil machinations.
Knorr was hung up on masturbation -- obviously he suffered severely from this 'problem' -- and seems never to have consumated his marriage. Knorr would actually sequester new "Bethel boys" in a locked room and give them his "don't touch it" speech, telling them that when they "went to the bathroom" they shouldn't "touch it" for fear of arousing illicit desires leading to masturbation.
With a legacy of such sick "spiritual teaching", it's no wonder that so many JWs have such an unhealthy view of anything to do with sex, including pornography. Rather than these things being part of a healthy, normal view of sex, the JWs have an unhealthy fascination with them which leads to all sorts of problems, including marital trouble. Instead of viewing pornography as no big deal, they view it as a big bugaboo, which leads many of them to pursue it far more than most normal people would.

it gets sicker.. a sisters husband molested his granddaughters with digital penetration not penis... his wife was told it was not grounds for a divorce and she wouldnt be scriptually free..she divorced him anyway and didnt remarry till after his death.. AFTER the molestation he got baptized and became a pioneer and also lived IN the kingdom hall apartment for YEARS. i'm sure there are many more stories like these.. many even worse.
I imagine this elder was expecting some compassion since the KM is so confusing as to what to do regarding porn. It did make it sound like they would not do very much, so it appears they may be tricking people into confessing and they are going to axe all that confess. They are so Slick. and sick, I think it was the lap dance and the actual touching that has got him canned.
In their strange little world perhaps they feel this may be contributing to the sexual abuse problem and they are taking some desperate measures to rid the org of who they feel are most likely to do this. They are so off base.
It is hard for me to believe that some of these elders seemed to almost enjoy having the prospect of dealing with such a "problem" and "cleaning up" Jehovah's organization.
Focusing on someone else's shortcomings makes it easier to forget their own.
