    Dear Diary,

A beautiful, after-the-storm day. The sky, a moderate shade of blue, is adorned by pile upon piles of fluffy, white clouds. It was good to get out for a brief stroll. This time it was uphill only one way. Usually it's both. Snow remains on our neighboring peaks.
The Tahoe region and environs - according to the comments of residents - has not seen so much snow in so short a time. At least in their recollection. Chair lifts were not operating; well, actually, the resorts were shut down. I will find out at 5:00 p.m. if they are up and running again. Crucial to all the local businesses, this snow thing!

Dear Diary, I am back, using a neighbor's PC; phone service has been out for me for several days. Hope to be back on line soon. Hope all my JWD friends are well. Love to all. Coco

    Dear Diary,

Thank you Lord! The call came through - nothing worse than some spin-outs en route and having to do some digging at destination. In the process, I have learned that my cell phone works - absolutely - in the house. Loud and clear. No need to get a dedicated line or rely totally on voice mail and the slight inconvenience of message retrieval. But I hate hearing the phone ring. Quit your whining! You talkin' to me? You're the only one in the room!

Geezuz I was wondering how this thread got to 20 pages! Dude, please dont take this the wrong way and nothing personal, but this self-referential blathering to yourself about the excruciatingly boring minutiae of your daily activities is just deadly. I mean, I dont think I have ever read anything this boring and mundane in my life.

This is an ex-JW "discussion" board, not a "personal blog space". Its relatively simple to set up your own blog if you feel that you have an audience interested in hearing about how you dont like hearing the phone ring. Do you really think anybody cares that your cell phone works in your house? I mean, krikies almighty, enough is enough! Cant believe the mods havent locked this down due to bandwidth waste! LOL....

Perhaps a less virulent post would have yielded an answer to your question. To say please don't take this the wrong way, then rip into someone is dishonest and delusional. Just be honest and say, I'm having a bad life, its Friday night, I'm half lit, I'm here on this forum instead of getting laid and I need to take it out on someone. You never badmouth anyone CC, so I'll take all of my frustrations out on you.

You could have simply wrote, CC why do you write the Dear Diary posts? Is it theraputic? Does it help the transition to becoming part of the non-JW world? Do you do it because other posters have encouraged you to continue?

If you need to fight with someone, come after me...I'll dish it back in spades.

    Dear Diary,

It's a new day; the sun is shining. I remember Nina's reply to my comments awhile back on the movie "Strictly Ballroom." We both love the movie. The line that hit me the hardest was, "We lived our lives in fear!" I've been afraid most my life, but something as simple as a line from a movie, or my being involved with AL-ANON as well as JWD, have all served to get me back on my feet in every possible way.
Even those who don't understand me and those who apparently don't like me have helped me rise above my fear and anger. Some to whom I reach out are unresponsive. I do understand [I surely don't respond to everyone] and look forward to the time when perhaps they will feel friendly toward me. You cannot imagine - unless you've gone through it yourself - how some of us timorous types [yawn - BT] have done a 180 and are all the better for that switcheroo.
Everytime I turn off my system and say, "I'm through - forever!", I end up returning because "one" person says "I need you!" The r. and hubby family and MAT - I LOVE YOU!

I work 40-45 hours a week. I am married, with one child. I have a new puppy. I have tons of hobbies. So it all depends on weather, to be honest. If I have good weather, I am not here much. If I have terrible weather, expect me to come by.

    Dear Diary,

It has been a beautiful and rather leisurely day. A day with art and music and sunshine - literal and figurative. Have to read up on this evening's lunar "activities." Will the "Magnificent One" be coyly hiding her face?
    I eagerly await nightfall.
