I have gone back and read the exchange in question. The anti-gay polemic spouted off by WAD was odious, vile and reprehensible. If the target of his vitriol had been ANY other group (visible minorities, the disabled, mentally challenged, etc.) he likely would have had his account suspended. Instead, he posts his vile rant on another thread, gets justiably called out on it by FD, starts a suck-ball, whiner thread about how he is going leave the board in a tearful snit, and this action, by some inexplicable karmic joke, earns him SUPPORT and f**cking cyber-hugs? WTF???? Not only was Funky Dereks response 100% justified, it was stunningly reserved given the degree of intolerance, hate and utter disrespect that this half-wit showed towards gays in general, not to mention the various gay posters within our midst.
For the sake of perspective, here are some relevant snippets of WAD's diatribe:
