Did they, actually, show 300 men with honed bodies? I don't think so. It was just a few characters that they showed. They, probably, went through one of those Israelies' (sp?) boot camps before filming.

So, I finally saw this last weekend. I liked it and didn't see any ties to today's Iran-US world happenings.
It's a movie for those of us who love that kind of movie--ancient Greek times, the fighting and myths that go along with it.

I prefered Leonides - he totally did it for me. Kaput about the lisp - Sean Connery had a different kind of speech characteristic - I wont call it an impediment as it was damn sexy. As for Leonides on the movie I didnt notice a lithp I have to say but ex Mr C was damn sure he did after I had spent the twenty minute journey back to place banging on about how much I'd like to bang the Spartan King. Maybe that was a tad inconsiderate of me in retrospect!
