It was a holiday weekend here (Thanksgiving), so today feels like Monday! lol Yesterday was soooo warm 30C, the warmest on record for over 60 years here. It was a good day for yardwork, and we were so busy that I forgot to put the turkey in! lol So, we"ll have it today instead.

Cooler day today, overcast and breezy. It was a nice walk along the river today. There was a soft rain, but very refreshing.

Well it's Tuesay 11:10am and I'm off to a 4.5 hour meeting - I'm sure I'll be bored to death and hopefully I can keep my eyes open. Then tonight I have a dinner meeting so I'm starving cause I don't want to eat. I want to have an empty belly for dinner tonight!

Hope you all have a wonderfull day!

    Hi everyone

Just taking time out here while I wait for my blood sugars to go back up to normal. Had a completely dead morning here in the shop and then just when I plan to go out for some lunch the whole world rolls in! I didn't escape till 3pm and it was a case of 'really must eat' I was feeling so ratty I was ready to swing for the next person or object that annoyed me!!

ESTEE - that smiley you used had me closely examining my avatar to see if there were any naughty bits showing that I hadn't noticed lol! It's an anime angel of destiny - I did an online quiz and apparently that's what I equate to but I loved the picture - it seems to be very peaceful, calming shades of green, I dunno.. there's something about it!

Happy belated thanksgiving Bumble Bee. Our drizzle of yesterday turned into very heavy rain during the night. Now its cloud and sunshine but dry. Quite breezy too. It feels like autumn now!

    Have a good day all.

By the way, Sad emo . . . why are you sad?

I'm sad tonight because I have insomnia.

    Love to all,

    Greetings and salutations!

Good to hear from YOU - BB, Emo and ESTEE!

I used to run a little store, Emo, and I understand the situation you've described. Dead for hours, then the onslaught. I imagine you've already thought of keeping a snack at the ready. Yet, when the store is burgeoning with looky-loos, and the odd buying customer, you haven't a chance in the world of sating your basic physical needs ...

Hope you get some sleep soon, ESTEE ...

I love your stories, Empress BB, of your beautiful surroundings - more, please!

    Good day all!

Bright sunny day here today but that crisp fall air is finally here! I knew it would arrive sometime, but soooo enjoyed the warm weather. My flowers are still blooming nicely, I'm still getting tomatoes from the garden and actually have a second crop of peppers growing, but I don't think they will last, the air is too cool. Maybe I'll rig up a little greenhouse over the plants and see what happens.

Went to the river for a quick walk before starting work today. Mist was rising off the water this morning, so very beautiful. Still not a whole lot of colour on the trees yet, but with these cool nights we've started to have, it won't be long now.

Finally met a long time on-line friend last night, Dagney. We've known each other on line for several years (before JWD) and she's flown in for the fest! Uzzah picked her up at the airport and we all met for drinks and supper last night. It's so much fun finally meeting people face to face. I can't wait for the fest tomorrow, meeting everybody, talking, laughing together.

Well, better get back to work!

    Hi All

Not been feeling too well for the last couple of days so I'm taking things steady - or trying to! I escaped from the shop yesterday to help run a stall at a Salvation Army conference - a nice change of scenery and lovely folks to spend the day with - we even get fed for free (3 course meal!) and can join in the workshops too.

ESTEE, I'm not too sad any more. When I first signed up, I was close to suicidal almost constantly, but less so these days I hope you are able to get as much sleep as you need soon.

CoCo - looky-loos! I must remember that one - yep, they usually take the longest time as well!

Have fun at the fest BB!!

It's been very warm here today - fortunate as my central heating is broken. Sick kitty wasn't looking very well this morning - I fear that her heart may have had enough and is giving up on her :-( Still, the meds have given her an extra 5 years of life which is brilliant considering how serious her heart condition is :-)

Ah well, it's home time now (took me about 2 hours to write this post between customers!)

    Have a great weekend all.

Evening/morning all (2:40a here). Looks like we're in for the first storm of the build up to the wet season. Lightning starting up outside, just checked the rain radar on the bureau of meteorology website.

According to the local paper, we're going to get more storms this year and we're also in for an above average tropical cyclone season.

Glad to hear you are overcoming that suicidal tendancy. I went through some of that, too, before I left the borg --- and then again when I first left the borg. It passed, thanks to a really good therapist who understood cult mentality. Apparently cults instill a dependance and co-dependance that, if challenged, leaves us feeling unsupported and uprooted.

This forum sure came in handy. Happily, we have our own little support network here helping us work through our "stuff."

And the insomnia passed, too. Seems I got out of my usual routine when our bathtub underwent some chalking repairs. Couple of days there I was unable to have my usual evening soak. Showers just don't take the place of a relaxing bath with candles and sea salt, in my humble opinion. My own little private spa. Anyway, I'm back on track with my sleep.

    Love to all

Glad to see you got the insomnia sorted out Estee, throws you right off balance when you can't get enough rest.

Hope your cat is doing a little better Emo.
