Hey everyone! How the heck did I miss this thread? It's been going since 4/07, were the hell have I been? I just started checking threads through active topics, before I'd just click on each category so I guess I missed a lot.

Anyway, my weekends have been soo busy! Since school has started back my youngest son is back in the marching band. So Friday nights we are at the football game, I usually get there around 4:30 or 5:00 to help provide food for the kids, then I chaperone/team nurse for the band kids so I'm there until the game ends and most of the kids are gone. You wouldn't believe how some parents are always late to pick up their kids.

Then on Saturday we have band competitions and they are usually an all day event. We didn't get back until 12:30 midnight. And I hurt from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet. Between walking up and down bleachers at the stadiums to riding an 1hour 45minutes on a yellow school bus, I'm hurting in places I forgot I had, that is since last season. I'm glad this is his senior year. I'm way too old for all this

So today we spent all day laying around, trying to catch up on rest and sex , kids never stop getting in the way of that somehow. But we have become masters in sneak'n in some, we refuse to let them beat us!

I wish I had Monday's off I need the extra day to recoup from the weekend. I hope everyone had a good weekend. Sorry for the long post, I haven't been on since Friday and I miss you guys

    (BARF ALERT!)

Went to the K Hall. It was one of those rare Sundays. The outline (can't say which one for purposes of anonymity) and the speaker were the PERFECT STORM. I honestly think most posters here, and most average people on the street, would have benefited from this talk. Very down to earth and practical. Dude didn't mention the Freakin' Discreet Slave once! Nor the Borganization. Wonder if he's a closet 'postate? The worst bit of poison in the talk was to stay humble so you will be receptive to counsel. Actually, if you take that with a little grain of non-JW salt, it's fairly good advice for life in general. I wish I had recorded it. It was that good.

Of course the "carrot" Watchtower study balanced it all out. I'm not goin' back mentally. Don't worry.

    Any other ideas?"

How about Parsley, Sage, Rosemary & Thyme?

At least that's what Simon & Garfunkel would recommend. ;-)

Actually I would recommend Rosemary if your climate will support it. It the climate is right Rosemary is like a tough weed and it's great for chicken and rack of lamb.

If you live in BC you'll probably need some kind of little hot-house box, (I'm guessing here) but fresh Basil and tomatoes are one of the few things that keep me believing in some sort of Higher Power.

    Madame Q:

Sounds like a well-balanced Sunday to me. A little work. A little kicking back.

    Bumble-Bee:

    Sounds like a blast!

    Dear Friends - Newcomers!

Welcome, if you've just discovered this thread; yes, Tula, it's quite all right to post - DAILY! It was down about a month when I was out and about, away from JWD. Emo and BB were our usual irrepressible regulars when I wasn't just talking to myself and answering my own posts.

You see, there is life - a good and happy life - outside the confines of Watch Tower tyranny and oppression. Your delightful stories - of dogs, children, school games, refrigerators, parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme - prove it.

Please - return often. You fine people are a valuable part of our mutual recovery.

Gee - is this what it's like to feel normal!?!?!?!

    Love and best wishes,

    Good morning all!

I'm sitting here waiting for my new appliance to be delivered, hopefully, being so close to the warehouse, I might be their first delivery. Its drizzly and cool outside so I'll probably get on with some studying.

ESTEE, how about a bay tree, they're pretty low maintenance, I keep mine about 18" high for smaller leaves - you can cut them to nice shapes too if you like doing topiary! Also maybe some mint - but make sure you keep it in a pot on its own - it spreads like crazy!!

Great to see all the newcomers to this thread, WELCOME!

Have a good week everyone :-)

    Woohoo!

My fridge/freezer is here! Only thing is I'm not allowed to plug it in for 8 hours :-(

I have to let it acclimatise to my kitchen and allow the refrigerant fluid to settle after transportation. I'm like a child with a new toy though - I wanna play with it NOW lol!!

    Hey Emo,

Eight hours?!?!? I'll have to ask our local appliance man about the difference in our fridges. When mine was delivered, at my former home, we used it immediately.

This is a puzzlement ... enjoy your new toy!

    Good day to you, Emo!

    Hi Open Mind,

That is one thing I miss at the KH: the special - and rare - excellent "Bible" discussion that was practical and upbuilding and well-delivered. I also miss the fellowship with friends and family. If the other 99% of the time it could be truthful information and no WT propaganda ...

    Ain't gonna happen!

    Have a good one, OM.

And a wonderful day to all.

Good morning everyone! It's gonna be 92 degrees here today - where is fall already????

Emo have fun with the new toy, but 8 hours? I've never heard of that. See you learn something new everyday!

    Have a happy Monday all!

    Greetings CoCo and ex-nj-jw

Maybe its because of different refrigerants? Ours are all CFC free over here now, plus its a frost-free variety. It actually works out quite well having to wait 8 hours as I can switch it on this evening and the freezer part will be able to settle to the correct temperature overnight. Ah the joys of modern technology!

I've been playing on Pogo game site all day - I discovered a new but VERY addictive game - for the safety and sanity of other Pogoers who might read this, I won't disclose which game lol!

Estee, I used to go to dance studio, too. Actually several of them. And its ALWAYS and imbalanced ratio of many more women than men.

Remember when men had to line up and pay for a lady to dance with them. I wonder if the shortage of men now is . . . karmic . . . ?

LOL! Parsley Sage Rosemary & Thyme are all herbs I use regularly, --- and I appreciate Simon & Garfunkel, too! Definitely herbs to grow in our garden next year.

Yes indeed. I venture to say life on the outside of the borg has been much more fulfilling and gratifying than life on the inside ever was! The misconception about leaving is: dubs assume because we left the borg that we have also left God. However, I believe I am a deeply spiritual person and God is very much a part of my life, even if their judgmental religion no longer serves my purpose.

    Love your avatar, Sad emo.

Mr Estee likes topiaries. “Keep in its own pot” sounds like good advice to me.

Glad you got your new fridge okay.

    Love to all
