I've had a mad weekend so far! Last week I defrosted my fridge/freezer as it was just about empty. On Friday, I went shopping after work and bought lots of frozen stuff - got home and the fridge/freezer was no longer functional! All my frozen food is currently in my sister's freezer and my chilled stuff is in a cool bag. I ordered a new unit this afternoon and they'll deliver tomorrow - a good idea as its my day off work and I won't be able to wander in to do things (as I often end up doing!) I'll have to wait in for the deliveryman. It's amusing that the shop's storage warehouse is literally the other side of the fence at the end of my garden but about a mile away by road!

This morning I helped at the hospital chapel, they need volunteers to collect patients from the wards for the service and then return them (hopefully to the correct wards!) afterwards. Two of the patients became unwell during the service so we were kept busier than usual.

I just ate lunch - an hour before it should be dinnertime and I'm sooo tired...

Tell us more about your new fridge - its capacity, its features ... That surely was a close call. Made me think of when I bought groceries for my father on a hot July afternoon. My car died at an intersection and I was stranded for about an hour before AAA Emergency Service arrived. Nothing spoiled.

I guess if I revealed my true self to my JW kith and kin, I'd have 'em call me

I don't really know the exact capacity of my new appliance yet. All I know is that it's as tall as me, so about 5'8" - half fridge and half freezer. It's energy class A - so super efficient, and the freezer is frost-free - so I won't ever need to defrost this one :-)

Hi everyone. Can I post here, too? I just saw the thread for the first time and looks like its been going awhile.

Estee, I used to go to dance studio, too. Actually several of them. And its ALWAYS and imbalanced ratio of many more women than men.

But most of the studios have a bonus for participants like if you bring in a new person for the party night you get points. Usually you get like a free dance lesson for 3 points. Or sometimes you bring in a new person to sign up for 3 free dance lessons. Maybe you can find some single men friends...or maybe your husband can....and bring them in.

Today was one of those lazy days. It's overcast, drizzly and foggy here today. Slept in until noon ! I never sleep that late! Although it doesn't help when you are up late chatting to a fellow JWD poster! lol

Last night Uzzah, Para, memario and myself went to the pub and did a bit of pre apostafest festing! We met for dinner and sampled the beer! Yum. I had a yummy Raspberry beer, the Inda Pale Ale and the Helles Bock. All were excellent.

Today we went out for bruch, did some shopping. I'm making some home made dog food for my sick doggie, then off to the pub for half price appetizers and some Alexander Kieth's Red Ale.
