Hi All... I have often seen this journal "BTTT'd" and never really taken the time to look, but I like the idea of it, thanks CoCo...so I may start posting when I remember to.

    Dear Diary

The theme for this week seems to have been Medical Madness.

Yesterday the doc suggested I have sinus surgery... no big deal really... only problem is how to approach the the matter with the boss - she has been so reasonable since I have been back here, but this might throw a spanner in the works. So I am kind of nervous about whether or not I will now have to deal with the wrath of Ros.

Also, yesterday, Mom told me that she has been to the doctor - they suspect Diverticulosis, but are sending her for further test to rule out Cancer and other sorts of unpleasant thoughts.

Mandy was in hospital this week, Phil went for tests for Diabetes, Mons looks like she might have gall stones... what next?

It is Ewan's birthday tomorrow... WOW - I can't believe that my little boy is going to be 5! I am having one of those 5 years ago this time moments. I can remember the events leading up to his birth in technicolour detail. Happy Bithday my Ewiedude!

Alas, it is now time for work!

I could go on for hours recapping the mundane events of my day to day existence and the mere act of having typed this out makes me think that I should go out this afternoon, buy myself a blank journal and start writing!

    YOUR DAILY JOURNAL

    Dave:

Thanks for your welcome back. It's hard to stay away for very long. I hope why lies ahead for you is manageable and brings you happiness.

    Daisy:

Yes ... get yourself a journal! I hope your family and medical situations level off. It sounds like too much turmoil. Find yourself a happy place (it is possible [I think!]). Ewan sounds precious ... I often wish for those days again and the patter of little feet.

    Thanks again,

    CoCo

    Dear journal

Finally finished my big project - last night, 20 minutes before deadline.

Woke up this morning and realised I hadn't altered my footnoting to the correct conventions. Not too tragic as I have named authors and page numbers - just forgot all the Latin words whih should have accompanied them lol! I'll lose marks but fantastic grades aren't critical to me - I just want to pass

Next Friday I have a Greek grammar/exegesis exam, then another essay due the week after - and then hopefully, it's all over!

Still doing my temporary agency work. I now have a shrinkwrapping machine all to myself! However, I may just have landed myself a permanent job elsewhere - watch this space!

Just under the wire - good for you! Keep us posted (as promised) on new job developments. I have a fondness for the words EXEGESIS/EISEGESIS despite their being no non-nonsensical Klang Association whatsoever (none that I can pick up on). Unless you wish to make something of X-Jesus and Ice Jesus.

My job of demotion at The House of Hurtfulness was shrink-wrapping during my last month. Tendering one's resignation brings about bizarre downturns in one's volunteer status ...

    Thanks,

    CoCo

I think I know how to get my dad out of the cult, very slowly and by the scriptures, which I'm even better at now than when I was a dub. That's what I'm up to now. Oh, and applying for college.

    White Dove:

Thanks for sharing what's going on in your life. You're correct about our knowing the Scriptures better now than as JWs ... patience with your dad is key. No one's thinking and cultivated behavior patterns change over night.

The very best on your going to college. It's NEVER too late.

    Dave:

Aren't words grand? Thanks, as ever, for your thoughts.

I'm off on a junket to see old friends from my former congregation. They were formerly servants at the KH, but now they and their entire families have "escaped." We'll have much fat to chew.

Will check in, Dave, upon my return tomorrow.
