LOL @ Casper - I do, but according to the township it's a "shed" lol Ssssshhhhh. It's in the woods, a short walk (5 min) from Lake Huron and a small private sandy beach. There is no hydro or running water (solar and we collect rain water for showers etc). It's very peacefull there.
Some good news today - my job is ending at the tax office - the deadline for filing is today, and I got a call this morning from my other employer asking if I can come work for them for about a month! Good news! On the dog front, I have cancelled her appt for Monday to have her put down, she's still doing very good, and the vet said we could have the tumor debulked again - that will give me some more time with her as long as she's still healthy and not in pain.

Well Journal, the latest...I went to the doctor and had some tests for some problems mentioned in my earlier post. I have to go have some further testing and some blood work.
They found something wrong with the gall bladder - no big deal - take it out. But, they found a cyst on my liver???? Dunno what's there but it has me worried.
Forgot to take my allergy medicine this AM so now I'm dying.

BB... sounds wonderful to me... I crave solitude and serenity... "Enjoy" .
Fantastic, that you get to spend more time with your dog, animals have such a special place in my heart. I have a 900 year old cat, poor thing, she tries to hit the litter box. Usually she will go in and hang her bottom "OVER" the edge... lol. I don't get mad at her tho... just keep cleaning...
Quirky,
I am sorry you are having to go thru this, I had my gall bladder removed 2 years ago, was a very simple operation for me. My liver was also having a fit. Numbers that should have been 50 and 100, were 500 and 800... all was well after the operation tho. I sincerely wish the same for you...
Dear Journal...
Finally warming up again around here. We call this Blackberry winter, lasts about 2 days.
My evening with my Grand Babies was wonderful... Plenty of hugs and we made cookies... was a pleasure.
Still working on the patio...one mess after another. Just keep reminding myself, it will all be done soon.. lol
Hubby is newly retired and finding a million little projects to do... Ahhhh, guess who gets to help... I carry, hold and fetch... yes,
"Dear Journal" ... that is my "NEW" role in life..........

Dear Journal,
I am totally exhausted, I have spent the entire day...painting the house. We have a brick home with a walkout basement. I painted the
concrete blocks below the bricks. Not an easy job. But I am done, and I love it. (Hubby was busy working on the patio).
My Dogwood tree is fully bloomed, just wanted to share...

Defrosting the frig today...yup, got one that old...nothing like watching an ice berg melt...what a mess...
Least I can watch the "Golden Compass" while the frig thaws.... Nice Dogwood Casper...
Thank You, Quentin... I'm so proud of it, it's almost 40 years old...
I was so afraid I had "Killed this Thread"... lol
I used to have a frig like that also....such fun. Enjoy your show..
Nasty and rainy here... Not much going on today.
Cas
Beautiful dogwood Casper! I love flowers, any kind, I'm not partial lol.
It's overcast and threatening to rain today. It rained last night too. Once it stopped I took the dogs for a walk, this was after 11pm. I love how fresh the air is after a rain. I inhaled deeply last night! It seemed to have warmed after the rain, it was cold and damp earlier and I lit a small fire in the woodstove to take the chill off. I love sitting by a crackling fire, watching the flames. The only thing I don't like about going out after a rain is the worms. They were all over the sidewalk!! ewwwww ewwwww ewwwww, I tried to avoid stepping on them, good thing it was so late - I'm sure I looked pretty funny dodging the worms lol.
Today is cleaning day. I thought I'd have some time off to catch up on all the little things I'd been putting off, but nope, back to the grindstone on Monday! lol So, I guess it's a good thing it's not so nice out today, I'm stuck inside - might as well make the most of it lol.
BB
Thanks BB... I love flowers too... They have the purest color on the planet, no way man can completely reproduce it...

ME TOO.... nothing takes the chill and dampness out of a home, like a wood stove. Wouldn't give mine up for anything...
Worms...
Try and enjoy your day...

Some groundwork should be laid before proceeding further with events of the last few days that involve Johnny, his best friend and Libby. Understanding the complex nature of how an individual might interpret the actions of his fellowman is in order here. When someone hits you over the head with a club or words it’s unlikely you’ll take the blow for a love tap. It’s more difficult, however, to interpret an act of kindness shown you. Depending on your frame of mind or emotional state at any given time, you might misinterpret another’s kind deed as an overture of love.
This has always been Johnny’s dilemma. This ghostwriter speaks on behalf of Johnny’s best friend, Stan’s big brother (he continues to remain nameless and for a very good reason), who senses the following but would have difficulty expressing the obvious. To put it simply, J. is a modern-day Adonis. Everyone loves a good person, but one who is a chiseled and dimpled peaches-and-cream complexioned youth with a shock of black curls adorning his brow like a crown has an unfair advantage over the average doer of good deeds.
“Adonis” requires the intervention of “Hades.”
