Just because someone waits until they are married, does not mean they wanted too, it might have just been a lack of opportunity.

Why would I outside of marriage? The lack of any INSIDE of marriage! Thats a big reason for getting out of it. Of course from what I see those outside may not be so lucky themselves. Gosh talk about frustration.

I don't think a piece of paper should influence whether or not you should have sex. I definitely don't want my children to get married just for the sake of having sex. I've seen too any young JW's do that and are now paying the price of leading a miserable life with someone they are sooo incompatible with. So I am quite happy with whatever they choose...as long as they are happy.

And why would waiting until your married make it more special???

There is no guarantee that a person will be with you and only you forever and ever if you are a virgin when you marry that person!! Being a virgin does not guarantee that the person who takes your virginity will love you forever.

I was once told by a friend (male) that he wanted to marry a virgin because "her vagina would fit him perfectly", not be stretched, WTF????

Vagina's don't become mishaped because you have sex, if that was the case no man could satisfy his mate after childbirth. This of course was a JW male - stupid.

Anyway, back on topic - IMO - to have or not have sex is a personal choice. I would not buy a car without test driving it, why would I marry someone before I knew if he could satisfy me in bed, or if he had bad habits that I didn't want to deal with for the rest of my life! Second, 1st time sex for a female is very painful and I would not want to spend my honeymoon with a painful vagina!!!!! I also would not want to have sex with a male virgin, I would want someone to know what the hell he's doing!!!

Sex does not make a relationship last or end, it does not define you as a person. As long as you are having safe sex (if not in a committed relationship) go for it! and enjoy.

We are animals. Sex is something all animals do. Marriage is an invention of humans and has many forms. Marriage is an arrangement that only has validity in tribal or group context. The Bible certainly isn't the textbook for monogamy. Marriage has been good for civilization because it allows people to opt out of the time and energy consuming routine of continuous mate seeking.

i already had the love and marriage and had sex with my spouse many times when i didnt want to after the love went bad

thinking about this thread while on the road today (sometimes spend a lot of time on the road) and I realized that I am grateful not only that sex is a choice, but I am also glad that little babies born outside marriage don't have the stigma of being a bastard. At least in my area. I've always thought it wasn't fair for children to be punished because their parents broke the rules.
