I for one have seen very little evidence for it other than your normal cause/effect, and certainly not across so-called "past lives". For my part, I believe it to be another way of happy-making for religionists scared of facing reality, much like concepts of heaven, etc.

I must agree with you, Daystar. Most people interpret Karma, which is the force generated by a person's actions, as simply meaning that what you do to others will be done to you. That ain't necessarily so; however, our actions can certainly bring consequences--nothing supernatural about that.

I see witchcraft as a manipulation of natural energies and forces, such as gravity, sunlight, wind, etc, to accomplish a desired result. To my way of thinking, this is a form of science or possibly, a technology. So, yes, I'd use witchcraft if I felt I needed to in order to achieve some desired end.

    Would you ever use witchcraft?

Yes, I do, all the time.

Do you think witchcraft is dangerous?

It can be, if you do not control yourself and get out of hand with black magick.

Do you think witchcraft is just a set of delusions based on ancient superstition?

No, but I think some people want it to be, so that they do not have to worry about it and sit in their little world of ignorance

Is witchcraft a tool of the devil?

If you practice Witchcraft or Higher Magick, then you do not believe in the devil. So, no.

I sometimes do a meditation focussed on a person. The goal is to see, or get information. That similar to sirona's divination. I rarely try to do anything than just seeing how things are. Understanding is key w me.

I think it's based on the unconscious connections that we all have w eachother and everything. All is one, or maybe two. Ultimately, one.

I don't think it is useful to use rituals to try to manipulate reality, if that is what witchcraft is, and I'm not sure. I ask for guidance from my Higher Power. I hope for specific results sometimes, but realize that the results that I desire might not be or lead to the best outcome. I like the Zen philosophy (echoed by St. Paul) to plant seeds, water, tend and leave the results to G-d or the universe or whatever power knows better than I do.

I most certainly agree that many of the practices of Christianity are similar to doing spells. Prayer comes to mind. I have known many jws who believe that the daily text is someone how inspired and talking to them directly. i have known jws who practice asking a question and opening the bible (indiscriminately)for the answer. jws are very superstitious people.

i was once very fearful of all this but now, it is no more scary than the belief in heaven , prayer, holy spirit, (i hear jimmy buffet singing "vampires mummies and the holy ghost terrify him the most.

meditation, or prayer can both calm your mind.

I don't find any of this scary anymore and hence can sleep without being fearful of demons (but acknowledge there are unfriendly entities )
