Nvr, and I replied twice to your PM, though have heard no reply back from you.

I have received no replies from you, Vinny.

But I believe you when you say you sent them.

I think it may have to do with you using a Mac.

This is why there is a bit of a call going out, by many, to show a little more respect for divergent viewpoints.

And this is a reasonable request since the JWD is not about ANY ONE PARTICULAR FAITH OR POINT OF VIEW.

Respect and tolerance is a good thing.

As JWs, we were THE most judgmental and INtolerant beings on the earth.....taught well and often by the men of the Watchtower Society. Having come OUT from under that mindset, I never wish to "go there" again. We find that now, some former JWs, that now support NO belief in God---are ridiculing and acting in the very same manner that was popular among active JWs.

There is no way I "fear" atheists OR atheism.....I am quite content and satisfied with what I have found since leaving the WTS and no amount of "convincing" will lead me away from my beliefs. A "fear" of atheists is a misconception. Being told that believing in salvation through Jesus Christ is for fools that need a crutch to lean on in order to live----is discourteous and disrespectful to those that do.

NVR says:.." OR Anti-deity, deity-bashing, making fun of deity. Do you agree there is a difference?

Guess that explains why you never replied. Which was a little surprising actually. Maybe it will show up soon.

But what about all the deities made fun of in the Bible?

Wouldn't that be offensive to the worshippers of those deities?

Once again, the problem is that in this case, the offended are upset that it is their deity that is being mocked or belittled.

Note: Still no PM's from you, Vinny. I look forward to reading them.

I find hitting the brickwall of reality helped a lot. I quickly got rid of the crutch.

Being told that believing in Jesus Christ is the only means to gain salvation----is discourteous and disrespectful to those that don't.

    See how that works, Annie?

And do you really think that because the bible speaks of false Gods that this gives atheists the right to ridicule those that do believe in God?

This is a no win argument for you NVR. But fortunately for you, there is nobody here to block atheists from posting what they wish.

Sure, I can show up on thread after thread doing my own debunking of atheist teachings again and again and again.
