I still put my vote behind Hillary. I will vote for him over a republican, but I do not think he has what it takes to even begin to get America out of this mess. He's younger than me for christ's sake. But, I will gladly watch him prove me wrong.

Obama or Hillary will continue to erode the personal liberties that have been taken away under the Bush government. Bush and the Liberals have to roads to the same destination as far as those issues go.

I see Obama and Hillary both capable of screwing up any version of National health care or insurance they get their fingers into. She has has a crack at it already and got bumpkus.

Neither impress me as being concensus builders... I can see both having a lot of legislative ineffectivness even if the Senate and Congress are in a Democratic majority.

I dont see either one as much of a foreign statesman type... I think neither will do much for the trade or economics of the nation.

I'd really like to see John Edwards come out as a independent Populist and run ... or see someone join up with him on an independent ticket.

    Warlock,

I see the Apostle is still alive, spewing fire and brimstone.

I see the Warlock has as ever, very little of substance to add to the thread.

True, but I'm much better in person. Warlock

    Burn,

Sacco and Vanzetti hold a larger place in the imagination "over there" where HS is posting from. There were riots in Europe after the American judge handed the verdict.

God Burn, I am so tired of correcting you all the time. For Pete's sakes when you read a post, read it carefully. Think about it, then head for your Wikipedia paradise. I suspect that you had not heard of Sacco and Vanzetti until this morning. I state this as when I mentioned them you tried to minimize the part that they played in US politics and the Socialist movement in the US after their execution, minimized I suggest through an ignorance of the actual facts. You then raced around the Internet looking for information.

Sure there were marches all around the world. This further indicates that these two men were not as you suggested a mere blip in the American Dream, but this is not relevant anyway.

I stated that there were marches, some 100,000 strong in the US. Boston for example had 25,000 march in protest at the execution. There were marches and riots in the US and you had better accpet this rather than try your usual intellectually dishonest and proud attempts to obfuscate the issues.

    They were, incidentally, Anarchists.

Yeah...well read...lol. Thank God for Wikipedia aye?

Problem is, that this has nothing whatsoever to do with the matter. Their deaths galvanized the Socialist groups that had previously been splintered and garnered sympathy from a previously opposed public.

Thinking on your feet like some street-corner skunk-pusher might impress some people Burn, but I find it bloody irritating - so save it for others.

As I keep telling you, you are capable of better than this, so stop acting the Wikipidiot.

    HS
