Sounds good. I'm convinced. Keep 'em on the short bus. Gives my European kids an advantage in science and technology in the future.

I would disagree but if it helps you sleep more soundly at night.
That said the US is happy to accept any fine Europeans who desire the freedom to make a profit from their scientific and technological innovations in our capitalistic society!

Yknot,
So are you happy for astrology to be taught as science in American classrooms? Are you happy for American science classes to be the laughing stock of the western world?

Exactly the attitude that causes so much ill will towards America. But nice way to fail to answer the question though.

Uhhh.. Free and Capatailist here too you know. I grew up in the USA and was taught that my country was the only free country in the world. As an adult I was constantly annoyed by regulations EVERYWHERE making it extremely difficult to start and run a small business. Moved to Ireland and can see that the American freedom thing is nothing more than propaganda. European citizens have much more freedom. Sure 200 years ago, the USA had more freedom, but in the past 100 years Europe has leapfrogged the USA. I can't see the social studies books being updated though for some reason.
This is not meant as an anti-american post. I AM an American. I'm also Irish. I've lived in both societies and feel I'm qualified to make this comparison.

You already said that, I think you might be getting forgetful.
Still can't answer the question though can you? I'll remind you in case you forgot what it was.

I'm sure your answer will be extremely enlightening given your belief in superstitious nonsense.

Does Ireland have as much to offer in forms of financing experimental innovation as the US?
My comments were not based on any American myth, but the seeing of French, Czech, British, and German people coming over here to seek that financial gain of the fruits of their labors within the science and technology fields.
Yknot..... of the globetrotting oil brat class.
