Okay, then ban all dogs except those used in hunting, etc. You know, single action dogs. Semi-Auto and Automatic dogs should be banned.

Start regulating dog food. Also, ban free mutts and other low cost "Saturday Night Barkers"; allow only multi-thousand dollar pedigreed purebreeds. Of course, the military and police can use whatever pooches they find most useful.

Are you kidding? First off, you can't take your dog everywhere. Second, there are FAR more maimings, killings, and injuries caused by dogs every year than Guns. ESPECIALLY children. Ask anyone who works in an ER.I am surprised at the lack of knowledge of having good dogs.....Mine love children, cats etc. But you make one wrong move against me and family....you are in trouble. I would trust these dogs over any gun toting moron...anytime. Ask any Dobie owner. They will smell your problem, they will sit back and let you in, and wait...... they will stalk you like a wild cat and wait for your mistake....they don't bark if they don't need to....they sit quietly waiting for your intrusion if thats what you are intending. Just one cowboys opinion here... I can account for every bullet I've ever fired... I cant control my dog they have a mind of their own.. horse either... anyone that tells you they can predict animal behavior 100% of the time is delusional.

I also have had Dobies, and often they are everything you describe. They can also be jumpy, crazy, poorly trained, or just plain inbred and genetically screwed up and unpredictable. And unless it's a "service dog" no, you can't take them everywhere. Just like you can't take a gun in a courthouse, etc.
Also, there are only about 74 million dogs in the US. There are about 268 million guns in the US. More guns by about four-to-one. And yet dog attacks outweigh gun attacks by AT LEAST 8-1. What does that tell you?

The last cable guy was 6'3 about 250lbs, and asked me to put my dogs outside...he couldn't handle them. They were as gentle as lambs.

My dogs have been neither.
I had to have my police trained dobe put down Dec. 4th....it was the most heart wrenching thing I have ever done. Even on his death bed, his heart was telling him he had to protect me.....something I will never want to experience or do again under any circumstances.
His younger brother is still with me and has taken over his job of protection. Dobies are the most loving, loyal, family dogs you would ever want to have.
If Avishai, has had some unstable dobies, I'm sorry...you have to be careful of breeders.
Mine have been angels.......and devils if you dare treat my family with disdain.
