    "I changed my mind..."

    Important day in your life.

as with every discussion this boils down to one point people having to proof Jesus is the one true God. Here is another contradiction revealed. Jesus cannot be a messenger to the one true God and the one true God himself.

Nice try. You keep thinking you can patch up your belief by tarring down someone else's. You need to forget about the trinity while you defend your byunity belief. Go start your own trinity thread.

So all witnesses believe is that michael is simply another by which Jesus acts under

like he acts under the name of 'the lamb' like he acts under the name of 'the word' like he acts under the name of 'Jesus' or he acts under the name of "christ" which unlike some believe isn't his sir name but the reference to him being the annointed.

I'm sure if you're speaking as a R&F (or average Joe) JW, this is how you think about it. But that's not what the WT teaches. WT doctrine on this matter, is far more confusing (and unbiblical) than anything a trinitarian believes. You and Spike are living proof of it.

At this point you or isaac may say well as a man Jesus he wasn't superior but that would argue against trinitarian doctrine of fully 100% man and m 100% God at the same time which is trying to say Jesus is God in all his 3 cycles so always superior to angels.

This is off topic. But, you have the same problem. For Jesus to be 100% man, would mean that nothing came down from heaven.

You also need him to be 100% man today, to be qualified as your mediator.

    1Ti 2:3

This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God, 4 whose will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus, 6who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all-[this is] what is to be witnessed to at its own particular times. NWT

Put this on your trinity thread.

To acknowledge Jesus is 100% percent God while a man on earth is to put all the following points from scripture at fault, 'Made himself little lower than angels' sacrificed for us' 'emptied himself' 'became' greater. because in everyone it refers to Jesus as a whole and that he can be lower or emptied below other spirit creatures something the "One true God" can't be. So trinitarians in their own minds must say this is only refering to the man part of Jesus they have developed in their own doctrine outside of the bible with no backing from the scriptures that obstinately refer to Jesus as a whole not in parts in all these scriptures.

    It's off topic here.

reniaa I'm simply trying to understand what you are saying but I think my efforts will take us off topic and DD has done a lot of work on this thread so out of respect for him I will desist. And anyway the problem of the son in 2 persons is much more interesting.

Actualy, I like to let reniaa and spike do all the work. The hardest part is keeping them on topic.

    Thanks

the soul that is sinning — it itself will die [Or, "The soul that is sinning is the one that will die." Hebrew, han·ne´phesh ha·cho·te’th´ hi’ tha·muth´.] — Ezekiel 18:4, 20.

Since Jesus took on the sins of the world, it could rightfully be said that his soul was sinning then.

This is because Genesis 2:7 says of the composition of man that "the man came to be a living soul [breathing creature]." Hebrew, lene´pheshchai·yah´; Greek, ψυχην ζωσαν (psy·khen´ zo´san, "living soul"); Latin, a´ni·man vi·ven´tem. See [Genesis] 1:20, 21, 30; 1 Corinthians 15:45; Appendix 4A "Soul" — A Living Creature, Human or Animal; Life as an Intelligent Person; Other Uses Hebrew NPhSh (ne´phesh); Greek, ψυχη(psy·khe´); Latin, a´ni·ma

Note thatGenesis 2:7 does NOT say that the man came to have a living soul, but that he came to be a living soul.

no, Spike...not that he sinned but as 2 Co 5;21 says:

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him

That is why in matt 27:45 says:

45 From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land. 46 About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, c lamasabachthani?” —which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” d

Why was he forsaken by his Father? Because at that moment all sin was transferred to him.

Gen 2:7 says man came to be a living soul...that is true. Soul can refer to the person of the soul of a person....same as peak can refer to a mountain itself, or the peak of the mountain. Gen does not disprove anything.

    1 Thes 5:23

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

to PSacramento (Post 692): An archangel can indeed be both an angel (as seraphs and cherubs are also), and yet "far superior to [the other] angels".

If everything has to be stated explicitly in the Bible for it to be true, then why does Romans 12:1 say that we must serve Jehovah "with [our] power of reason"?

    heb 2:5

    5
2 For it was not to angels that he subjected the world to come, of which we are speaking.

Heb 1 ends with contrasting Jesus to angels, with certain things the father said to the Son, but never said to angels.
