    yk-

Then I can go to bed tonight with a smile on my face.
please exclude me from your bedtime fantasies.

I already cited the 21st chapter of John. Part of the problem in your jumping to conclusions that I am dodging questions is that you are for the most part apparently Biblically illiterate.

okay, lets examine the scripture you quoted, shall we?

    John 21:23
Because of this, the rumor spread among the brothers that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say that he would not die; he only said, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?"

how does this answer the question of whether or not the "apostles PUBLICLY SPREAD false teaching about the return of Christ."? it doesnt, and you know this. there is no scripture to back up the apostles EVER publicly spreading these false teachings........and there is a world of difference between rumors that spread among the apostles, and publicly spreading false teachings. is that too difficult for you to understand? surely you will dodge yet again; perhaps you are simply "biblically illiterate". another prime example of scripture twisting.

Is it a revelation that we are not under the Law? I think I explained clearly enough how the situation has changed since the time the Law of Moses was written.
again, you are sidestepping the issue. the fact is that the WT applies deuteronomy chapter 13 to 'modern-day' prophets, as shown in the article pasted on this thread. if indeed we are not under mosaic law, and deuteronomy 13 applies only to mosaic law, then why does the WT apply these verses to our time, and current christian congregations? this is a glaring contradiction on your part, although you surely will not admit it. more twisting.

Let's face it Dubula, like many of your brethern, you are full of noxious gaseous vapor. / You Know
my noxious gaseous vapor has just discredited you once again (this is getting tiresome)......if all it takes to point out your contradictions and misuse of scripture is gaseous vapor, what does that say of you?

    Hi YouKnow,

I will agree that you have some good points. I do think that people will justify what they want to for selfish reasons and choose not to do Gods will and twist scripture to achieve such goals. However, I do have some questions regarding the Society being totally inspired by God. I have a hard time believing that everything the JWs put out is directed by Holy Spirit. We live in an imperfect world. The Watchtower Society is not immune to this fact. Even within the Org. there are corrupt people. People who are living "double lives" as it is put. We just may not see it or always know about it, but it does exist. There are cases of child abuse, pedophilia, family members being shunned by family members, freindships ripped to shreds, Elders who think that they run the congregation and we should follow them, a million and one opinions flying around as to interpretation of scripture, even with the Society's take on the matter, people being judged continuously, maybe we weren't at enough meetings this month, or we did not put in enough hours of service, so therefore, are considered bad associates this month, maybe you won't get congregation priviliges because you decided to have a vasectomy or sister so-and-so can't pioneer because she had her tubes tied and maybe it wasn't for a good enough reason, I could go on and on and on. My point is, I believe that individual people may be blessed with Holy Spirit because of wholehearted belief and application of scripture in their lives. Of course, nothing is perfect or fool-proof in this system. And I am not saying that all that is required is being a "good person". I think we have to have works to accompany this. The Bible says so. But, why would God bless an entire group just because they are what THEY say they are?? What about the people within who are flat out turds? Yes, they will be judged by God, as will the rest of us. But are we going to be destroyed just because we did not belong to the right group or because of the way we led our lives??? I could be wrong, but somehow I just can't beleive that God is that shallow.

Sorry to ramble on, some of this was hard to put into words.

    You're thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Vita

    JayHawk,

YK is easily stumped. Just ask him a short sharp question and he flounders mightily. Only when he can latch on to some slightly off-target remark can he respond.

Notice already that YK has faded from this thread, because he's in over his head here...

okay, everyone here really needs some sort of exit counseling from jw's. they just can't seem to break free really. I'm no longer a jw. i don't agree w/ everything they say. but hey if their happy their happy. live and let live. move on you know. and about false prophets, if you try to figure out the exact day of the end your false. in the bible it says it will be like a thief in the night. if you declare yourself a prophet you got your head way up your ass. if you have something to share share your opinions and observations. if suddenly you start speaking in another language that you never even heard before then I want to know, but until then keep your declarations to yourselves.

Let me take this opportunity to thank you for providing the "world" with a glimpse into the mind of a truly demented 'hovah wannabe

    -----------------

no WE ALL CAN THANK YK

sometimes he goes off the deep end so much that i have forward in email some of his post and the NONJW will refuse to believe he is even a true JW- you see most folks know that a real jw can't say something out of line with the official dogma

and we know that YK is always going out in left field on wt dogma that he makes up- sometimes the stuff he says is not even taught by JW

but he provides that needed window for NONJW

i too always tell him to KEEP POSTING WE COULD NOT MAKE UP STUFF AS GOOD AS HE COMES UP WITH
