JeffT:
The problem with pictures of melting glaciers is there is no data to go with them. We're left with circular logic:
I brought this up because I know there are people who do not want to analyze data especially with this recent mock-expose. For those who want to go deeper into the subject there is plenty of data out there from primary sources.
"The glaciers are melting, the earth most be getting warmer."
"My body is shivering. It must be getting cold."
"What prove do we have that the earth is getting warmer? The glaciers are melting."
"What proof do I have that it's getting cold? My body is shivering."
Other possible causes: changes in precipitation, solar radiation, geothermal heating; among others. This whole thing needs to be revisited with clean data, or it is not science.
Other possible causes: Infectious disease, underactive thyroid, etc..
There is a time and place for intuition as well as logic.
