Would you let a JW's religion affect your decision to use their services?

It really depends on the type of job. I would hire a JW for physical labor. I would NOT hire a JW for a job that requires critical thinking skills.

Well, I have hired JWs to do some jobs for me, but I would not use some certain JWs to do work for me. Some of them are good people to me.

I have had JW's working for me and I do not like them as employees for a number of reasons.

    1. They will not work on Saturdays (they have to get their time in field service)

    2. They do not see their job as one of the most important things in their lives so therefore they do not take ownership of projects they are assigned to

    3. They take advantage of working for another witness (longer breaks, coming in late, longer lunches)

    4. We used to have a truck driver who was a MS, we asked him to make a late afternoon delivery one day and he said he couldn't because he had a talk on the school that evening. We had to get someone else to make the delivery.

There is only one JW working for us now and it wouldn't break my heart at all if he were to quit.

I would not higher another ever.

I would definitely not hire one in the medical field. As was mentioned in a previous thread,

if they were to discover something in their medical files, they have been known to go to the

elders with it. For example, an abortion, receiving blood, etc.

Patient confidentuality (and i know i didn't spell that right) means nothing to them!

IF you are viewed as an apostate and are being shunned why would you hire a witness and help them make a living? I sure wouldn't.

I used to employ them in my business, and found the same problems as Idrnomo.

    They make terrible employees.

I am semi-retired now, and operate alone in business, but I do hire one lad occasionally to do a bit of gardening, he is unusual, he is conscientious, a hard worker, skilled, well equipped, and his prices are low !

Probably coincidence, but he is a shy guy, who has dyslexia, so he has never been an avid door knocking answering at Meetings and doing Talks kind of Dub, he is a pretty normal, likeable, guy.

I think he is the only Dub I am likely to employ. generally I go with the thread title, if I need work done I find a non-Dub ,even though I know Dubs who do that sort of work.

Since they're used to working for free ... I'll hire them.
