Best Argument for Atheism?

The best argument is no argument. Atheists don't have to prove anything. Those who assert a positive, i.e. "There is a God" have 100% of the burden of proof. Atheists don't have to prove that claim wrong as it is impossible to disprove a negative assertion.
If that is true, why is it that most "atheist" try so hard to prove God doesn't exist and feel the need to make the assertion? Could mans curiosity be the best proof that God does exist?
This is why the burden of proof is always on the one making the assertion. Denying an assertion offered without any proof is perfectly acceptable. To do otherwise is a waste of time.
I feel the same way as a believer, I know God exists because of the impossibility of the contrary. You see, I think the best argument for God is no argument.

Just because one is an atheist doesn't mean he/she isn't also a crusading jerk.

Don't be ridiculous.

That has to be just about the dumbest thing I've ever seen. You should be spanked. It is so dumb it isn't even worthy of a rebuttal.

I'm less cranky than Farkel, so I'll rebut.
I have never talked to any atheist anywhere who "tried to prove" that God doesn't exist.
I have talked to many to are able to demonstrate that all so-called "proofs of God's existence" are just a bunch of malarkey.
As has been said so many times, and apparently little understood, atheism is a lack of belief. It is not a positive assertion.
Also as has been stated so many times, and apparently so little understood by you that it makes me question your ability to grasp the English language, it is not possible to "prove" the non-existence of anything, God included.
You do understand the difference between "X definitely does not exist" and "There is no evidence that X exists", right?
If not, I hope you are a lawyer, and that you represent the other side in any court case I am involved in.
Maybe I am a little cranky after all.

How do Atheists explain the paranormal?
Carl Sagan "wrote the book" on this topic.

leavingwt,
I've got to read another book!
Having a drink is a better idea.
Although I left the JW's my experiences cause me to question whether I was right. (sometimes) I believe in Christianity. My experiences help with that belief. (the experiences were over several months and sometimes experienced by several people at the same time including a one year old) i know why they happened and the source was dealt with. But i still am open to the possibility that I am wrong.
