BrokenPromises...ooops. Blondie suggests in 4th post that the WTBTS has an official policy of not letting JW abusers go door to door since 2002 (and the Porter case was 2007). These men are on the Child Sex Offender Register, so any unsupervised contact with a child would be in breach of that (I'd assume). It makes sense, therefore, that anyone on that register would not be able to do door to door as this would bring them into contact with unsupervised minors. I'm sorry, I don't think I've answered your question properly.

I have so much to say on this topic but right now I am working on some things and I do now want to blow them I am afraid I talk to much as this subject makes me so mad.

YES pedophiles go door to door. We have a level 2 sex offender in our hall, he was a level 3 with his picture and internet posting everywhere. I made the comment to a prominent elder that at least this sex offender has the decently not to go door to door the elder was livid at me just red with anger and said THIS MAN DOES GO DOOR TO DOOR AND THERE IS NO REASON FOR HIM NOT TOO! The elder said my wife just worked with him in service. This elders wife does not know he is a pedophile, I know that for sure as I have talked with her about these kind of things just surface talk to see how stupid and dumb she really is. She is the typical JW elders wife who I call house plants. They choose not to think or look to closely because it is such a male driven religion that they just do what their husband tell them to do. The "Women are a large army" of brain dead zombie's going door to door to drag more into the cult.

I was just blown away by the elder, I quietly asked how would it look to the people who open the doors to him, the elder said he did not do the crime. I said he is a level 2 right now with his picture on the internet, the elder said he did not do the crime and that was the end of it. I guess the brain dead zombie in me died at that point and I realized that this is one very sick cult.

The elders push and promote child rapists to go door to door. I know it is not in writing but from what I have just read here but more importantly from what I see with my own eyes child rapists GO DOOR TO DOOR. Just the thought makes me sick.

I have probably said to much but boy does this topic make me mad. Sexual abuse never leaves the victims. It just makes my blood boil.

We all need to stand up and do something what I do not know for sure right now. Evil prevail's when good people do nothing.

As I recall, the policy is that they aren't supposed to go door-to-door by themselves. Whoever makes the field service arrangements should make sure that someone is paired up with them.

Of course, left unanswered is the question of what happens in weekday service, when typically no elders are present to lead the group? The elders regard the information of who in the congregation is a pedophile as "private". Anyone other than an elder leading the group (it could even be a "sister" on a weekday) would not know of the restrictions on the pedophile.

Also left unanswered is, how exactly does the presence of another individual at the door with the pedophile prevent the pedophile from memorizing where potential victims live, and returning on his own at a later time?

MIDWICH CUCKOO- Thanks for that link to the England pedophile. Icky ick. They even got pictures of this guy out on the loose walking right by a mother and her baby ! And he goes out in service still. That judge was an absolute idiot for not sentencing the child molester to prison time.

BROKEN PROMISES- In the United States- in many areas, if a known registered sex offender had been a child molester and his parole officer finds out he is living near schools, near daycare centers, or even talking door to door to children at times - yes that would be illegal and a violation of the terms of his parole. The parole officer would be bound by duty to the law to report it to police authorities and that person would be imprisoned.

The reason I know this is because : Look at the uproar that was caused in the California kidnapping case of Jaycee Dugard. For years and years the parole officers dealing with Phillip Garrido ( Jaycees registered sex offender kidnapper ) dropped the ball and didn't even know Jaycee had been a prisoner in Garrido's home for 18 years ! Once it was found out that the sick &uck had fathered 2 children with the young lady and they caught him with HIS children he fathered handing out religious tracts at a university- the jig was up and they finally caught him and put him away.

The point I'm making is yes, it's against the law for these creeps to be around kids, and YES - these molesters can slip and sneakily fall between the cracks in society- hiding out escaping notice from the law. Meanwhile they molest and rape more children. So all the more need to expose the molesters we DO know about !

LIFE IS TOO SHORT- My wife and I admire your efforts as well in all you do in exposing child abuse and molesters. And yes, you are correct- the WT society DOES NOTHING to make elders ENFORCE not allowing pedophiles to go from door to door. My dad who is an elder and my older brother took it upon themselves to call JW parents up on the phone with children to warn them of two former child molesters in their midst. The molesters are NOT allowed in my dad's congregation to work with children or alone without an elder or MS with them. But my dad and brother did that ON THEIR OWN- without instruction from the WT society. Most elders generally could care less about childrens welfare. They just mirror the cold stance by the WT society.

SIR 82- The WT society may have given out these instructions to elders to monitor these child molesters going out in service- but very few elders even care or pay attention to carrying out the instructions. So typical. When I was in the JW's - I noticed elders typically had their own version of counsel they'd hand out to people- it usually was their own opinions- not that of the Bible
