What's wrong? I'm saying her line of reasoning is sound. If one doesn't see a problem with a woman selling her body then they shouldn't have a problem with their mother, sister, daughter, or wife doing the same. I don't need to demonstrate anything.

Of course you don't. If you are going to suggest that physical labor in exchange for money were bad, however, you would need to demonstrate that, but since you clearly aren't saying that, then indeed you do not.

Back to the topic, though, if he's married, then yeah... its wrong because you'll be playing a part in causing someone else (his wife and perhaps children) to be lied to and hurt. You asked, and this is my honest opinion as a married woman with children, who's marriage has gone through -and come out of - its fair share of troubles.

You know, I don't think that really deeply down a person would admit to not caring if his wife was a prostitute. Can you just picture this scene?

Child- "Dad, why does mom have to work late again?"

Dad- "Now kids, don't go into the bedroom, mom has a customer, and you know she has to work nights so johns can come after work." I have to go out on the streets and rustle her up a little business, so get to your homework."

Mom and dad on meet the teacher night:

Teacher- "I see listed here on employment of parents that you are a business owner and your wife is a prostitute?"

I guess some people just will argue any position that seems to get attention.

What I would add as my comment to the original poster-I have lived close to 59 years, and have seen how skeletons from the past come out of the closet. Years later, your children or others whose opinion you value could find out about your "arrangements." You always have to live with your past. Better to use sound judgement beforehand. I hope you will.

Despite your misgivings, it happens every day. Your inability to conceive of it doesn't make it so.
